Papertrey Ink - Day #7 (card #3)

Edited to reflect new photo which was taken outside in the daylight...I was messing around with my camera and hit a few too many buttons with the first photo taken last night...I am a work in progress these days!

Oh, I really need to re-take this photo~the colors are so NOT this dull! I will try to make it better, but in the meantime...this is card #3 tonight for PTI-Day 7 Anniversary incorporating hearts in your project :)

My Card~

Cardstock: Base card is Bright White
Stamps: Sentiment and Flourishes from PTI's Fall Elegance; Polka Dots are from Clear Pattern Stamps by Martha Stewart; the flower patterned heart is from Michael's
Ink: Black from Ranger; Pearlescent Orchid from Tsukneko
Tools: Large corner rounder from EKSuccess

Papertrey Ink - Day #7 (card #2)

This is the second card created which incorporates hearts into the design.
Go check the awesome new products being introduced this month:

(sorry, I don't know how to "link" sites yet!)

This card is for my sweet friend, who is always 'there' for me!

Card details~ no stamps used here
Cardstock: the base card is heavy weight PTI; patterned paper is from K*1 Memories that I found at Tuesday Morning
Tools & Embellishments: small corner rounder by EKSucess; 'Branches w/Leaves' is from Sissix ; Best Friends is a sticker from Marcella By K; the glittery, heart is from the Dollar Store

BTW, those of you who know me, know that I do not read instructions, I am a 'try it first, then read' kinda gal!
I bought a couple of these Sissix A6 embossing folders and just
assumed, I could use them in the Cuttlebug cause that's all I own. Well, I found these folders to be much thicker, therefore more difficult to run through the machine, but I really liked the deep embossing effect (if I use good quality heavy weight cardstock like PTI's). OK, so as I am reading the back for the first time to see the name of this folder to add to my post here and it says "compatible with..." and lists several machines, however, Cuttlebug is not among them. Oh brother!
Anyone out there know if I am going to break my CB by continuing to use these folders???

Papertrey Ink - Day #7

This is day seven of the celebrations and festivities at Papertrey Ink:
http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/
Today's contest is to create a project
that incorporates hearts into the design.
I wanted to post this card which I made for a friend who needed a Wedding card last month ~ it has a heart embossed panel and was made with LOVE :o)

My Card:

Cardstock: Green base card is SU, PP is a note card from Michaels, top embossed green is a large paint chip from Lowes and the image is stamped on heavy weight white from PTI because I wanted to use watercolors on the bears and needed the best cardstock available.

Stamps: the hearts are from "Wedding" clear stamps by Fiskars; the bears are from a set of wood stamps I picked up at AC Moore, but don't have the original box so don't remember who made these :(

Tools and Embellishments: large and small corner rounders by EKSuccess; Hearts embossing folder by Cuttlebug; "Just Married" ribbon by Martha Stewart; white ribbon 'veil' and bouquet of flowers from my stash

Thanks for looking!
