Create Along With PTI - November 2017

Create Along With Us challenge at Papertrey Ink allows us to select a card one of the amazing Design Team Members has created during the November Release that inspired you.  We can then create our own version of their project...pretty awesome, eh!
It's a fabulous opportunity to CASE something made by one of these talented ladies and post it! 😊

There are so many lovely creations, it was hard to choose.   But this pretty card by  Laurie Schmidlin inspired me today as the one I would CASE.

MIM #303

Holiday Photo Card

Ashley is sharing about creating holiday photo cards and doing an update from the holiday card Make it Monday that she shared with us last year!  You can check out her beautiful family photos, sweet little Lauren and the video with three Holiday photo card ideas HERE.

The challenge (quoted from Nicole's Blog) is to:
~ Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and incorporating a photo.

Truth be told, I haven't sent photo Christmas cards in a number of years now, but I do like to add a photo of the recipient to cards for a birthday, anniversary or thinking of you note, so I hope this counts for the MIM Challenge this week ;-)

The picture was taken here in FL close to Christmastime about 10 years ago.  YIKES, where did the time go!

My Card ~
I'm sending this note to my dear friend (on the right in photo) in Massachusetts who needs a little pick-me-up today.
BTW, I need the new 'Little Lift Me Ups' stamp set.😊

*The sentiment is from PTI's Spring Woods
*Butterflies are cut from the Butterfly Cover Plate
*The sweet flora PP is from DCWV "Pocket Blossom"
*Square window die cut is from Nestabilities

Dawn's Blog Hop

Many of you are familiar with the personal health struggles Dawn McVey has had over the past few years, and might have seen the recent news that she is now a proud small intestine transplant survivor.
The community thought there would be no better way to honor Dawn and support her during her journey to recovery than to make a colorful, vibrant presentation of get well soon greetings. Dawn has always brought color and joy into our lives, and now we are able to do the same for her.
So here's to Dawn. May she find the strength on the hardest days. May she have peace through the recovery process. May she feel the love shining down on her from around the world.
If you would like to mail your creation to Dawn, you may use the address below.

You can go to Nicole Heady's Blog and see all of the amazing creations the card-making-community all over the world is making in honor of this sweet girl who has graced so many lives with her positive attitude, creativity, artwork and uplifting blog posts over the years.
Now it is our turn to show this awesome lady how much we love her beautiful spirit and gorgeous creations.  I am going to make a few more cards over the next few days using one of Dawn's own designer stamp sets from"Raspberry Suite"  which is one of the prettiest floral sets in my collection called Peonies on Parade.

Along with my card, I am sending healing thoughts and many prayers for Dawn's recovery and speedy release from the hospital!

MIM #302

Make it Monday

 Twine & Ribbon Wraps

Stephanie is up on MIM this week and shows us how to use twine and ribbon on our cards in a different way than just a regular knot and/or bow.  You can go HERE and see her video and beautiful card.

My card ~
Stamps/Dies/Embossing Plate:  Nesting; Fall Elegance

I love this sweet "Nesting" stamp/die set and using my Misti is a great tool for stamping the images on the small die cuts.    I don't have a wreath that would look good for this technique, but I wrapped some pink twine around the edge of my circle window and the edge of my card to add texture like Stephanie suggests.  😀

Creative With Stamps

On the first of each month there's a new challenge at
Creative With Stamps.  For the month of November we are looking for stamped THANKFUL images on your card creations to be entered on our Challenge Blog HERE.  Stop by and check out the creations from my very talented Team Mates and leave them some blog-love ;-)

You have until the end of November to enter our Challenge #20.
You can enter up to 3 cards and be eligible to win some great prizes from our Fabulous Sponsors.
Just be sure to read through the few "Rules" and have FUN!

Matting With Glitter

Lizzie is up on MIM this week and shows us how to easily add glitter mats to our projects.  You can watch her video HERE.   This is the perfect challenge to begin creating holiday cards and projects if you are like me and haven't really started yet!

 Well, I made a card, but I cannot tell you how many things are wrong with this one! Several of which I will re-do/fix before sending this out...cause you know I can't just trash my cards :-{

To begin with, my Photo Editing program is not working~which is the reason for the terrible photo. Then there is the 'shadow' stamping on the sentiment; the watercoloring waving up the card stock; cutting the panel too much on one side... And, don't get me started on the glitter EVERYWHERE in my craft-room and on me!
