MFW Tuesday Trigger-Autumn Woods

This week the TT has wonderful Fall colors, which was my inspiration for this card.
I now have several more ideas floating in my head so maybe I should strike while the mojo is hot :) and make a few more cards!
I really like how a lot of the entries used the squares and the dimension of the wood inspiration. Check it out here, cause you have till Sunday to add your post:

Can you believe I almost missed the time limit for another Make It Monday over at Papertrey Ink :o? Yeah, not so surprising for those who know me :o!
Betsy Veldman's video can be seen here:

This Brayer technique on embossing plates/folders is not new to me, but I haven't used it very much. I like the effect and will definitely use this on more cards.

Make it Monday #37- Layered Mats and Frames

Not sure how the week ALWAYS gets away from me, but wanted to post a card to PTI's Make It Monday and managed to get it done before dark today :o)

You can see how Dawn McVey made her card in this video on Nicole Heady's Blog~
http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2011/10/make-it-monday-37-layered-mats-and-frames.html

Don't have any Mat Stack dies, but I used Nestibilities "Labels Eight" for my frame and attached each layer with those little square sticky things.

* The ghostly DP is from Nikki Sivils "Boo-tiful" mini pad
* Stamps are PTI "Fall Elegance"
* Frames are Spellbinders
* Glitter is Cinnamon and Lime Green from Stickles
* Inks are Terra Cotta from Ranger; Mango from Creative Living

Make it Monday #36

This week on Papertrey Ink the Make It Monday technique is to use regular stamp pads and create a faux watercolor image. The pumpkins are stamped with two orange colored inks then I took a small paint brush dipped it in water and blended to get this shaded watery look.

I was helping a friend with her Halloween Party invites and this is one of the designs I came up with.

My Card~

Cardstock: Stripped DP is from Nikki Sivils "Boo-tiful" mini pad; Melon and Antique White are from Recollections
Stamps: Pumpkins are Fall Elegance from Papertrey Ink
Inks: Terra Cotta and Mango from Ranger
Border Punch: Floral Leaf from EKSuccess
Embellishments: sparkled leaves from Michael's

Sorry the lighting in my craft room is terrible at night and, of course I am posting this at 11:00 PM... Hope to take a better picture in the morning.

I really liked making my own heart chipboard accent the way Erin Lincoln showed us in a video at Nicole Heady's Blog~check it out here:

/capture_the_moment/

My Card~

Cardstock: base card is Pure White (although it looks yellow here); heart is 5 layers of a Centrum Multiple Vitamin box glued together with a Glue Stic and the top layer is Black & White Basics Collection from Papertrey Ink. You can acturally see the shadow of how thick the heart is in the photo
