NBUS #7-card 2

Since I have a mountain of NBUS (at all times), I thought I would add card #2 to Darnell's fun challenge.  I know it's a ton of work to put on these gala's, but I so appreciate the chance to chip away at ALL the NBUS in my craft room and as a bonus, add to my card inventory without waiting for the final hour to get the card mailed :-o
This is Darnell's 7th challenge and surely you all have a 'few' craft items you can put together for posting HERE too, no?

NBUS used:
  • * Cactus in pot stamp from Studio G (colored with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut out)
  • * Yellow polky banner from Recollections
  • Thank You sentiment stamp from Hero Arts
  • * Blue Ombre ink pad from Recollections
  •  Green textured PP is a 12X12 pad from Michael's
* all purchases were on Clearance from Michael's  :-)
Oh, and the TY stamp was a Thrift Store find for .25

My first card was created for a friend who is an amazing photographer who takes the most increadable photos of beautiful birds...just one subject of his masterpieces.

Creative With Stamps

 The Design Team for
Creative With Stamps
has created another card to share with you
Mid Month for our August challenge.

You can check out the lovely cards from my team mates and all of the wonderful entries from everyone so far  HERE.

You have until the end of  August to enter our Challenge #5, so post your stamped art to win some fun prizes.

I used hexagons again for my mid-month card. These are three different stamps inked in three different colors  from the Rosie Posie stamp set by Papertrey Ink.  I used the flower images (a lot) from this set but rarely use these border stamps.

MIM #257

MAKE IT MONDAY

Sentiment Strip Grounding

Lexi is up on MIM this week and she shares tips for using a sentiment to ground your stamped images.
Check her video HERE for sample cards using this fun technique.

This may seem like an odd color combo for a baby girl congrats card, but I am just going along with the parents' choice... which originally was yellow and blue ~ because they were certain the new baby was going to be a boy!  The yellow color accents were more predominant than the blue, so they found it easier to change the color scheme to yellow and pink.
BTW, both mom and dad have blue eyes, so I left the little lion pull toy's eyes blue  ;-)

SAF 2016 REMIX

SAF REMIX

In place of Make It Monday, this week, Papertrey Ink is giving us a chance to revisit projects from this year's Stamp-A-Faire event.
You can recreate that card you were creating in a rush and weren't 100% happy with!   Check out everyone's "new" cards HERE.
Revisit the videos and use them to help you achieve the best results on this new card!  Nichole asked us to share the old card you were unhappy with, as well as a photo of this new card for today's challenge....and tell what you did to make this new card better!

I chose this SAF Challenge:
 Masterpiece Inspirations with the Team

This card is my Remake:

I used the same colors but a softer version on this Remake card and like the Peonies water-colored instead of the Butterfly Cover Plate die cut from a card stock that I swiped my Alcohol Markers across (see below)

Creative With Stamps

On the first day of each month, there is a new challenge posted from Creative With Stamps.
The month of August is to create a card with a Geometric Design.

You can head over to the Blog, HERE and check out what the fabulous Design Team has created, then add your entry there for a chance to win some fun prizes  :-)

I don't have a lot of  "shape stamps" and wasn't quite sure were I was going with this Challenge, but found this stamp/die set from Hero Arts called 'Hexagon' that I thought would be great and happy with how it turned out  as Geometric art (?) Each hexagon was die cut and stamped with two of the patterns in chartreuse, turquoise and magenta inks  then mounted on an Turquoise cardstock panel. The bling was added along with the Swoosh 'hello' from PTI.
