Nichole has us digging out our favorite snow stamps and snowflake dies and creating the illusion of snow with glitter or mica flakes.  We can make some snow filled shaker elements with beads or sequins or just create a winter wonderland with paper crafting supplies, sounds like fun to me!   ;-)

MAKE IT MONDAY
IMPRESSION LINE WATER COLORING

You still have time to join Erin in creating for this MIM challenge

I needed a card for a baby gift I will be delivering tomorrow, so I thought I would try this technique with a PTI Wonderful Words die.

I use the PTI Sweet Baby stamps and die ~ embossing the word "baby" and using water color paint to go over it.

I have another card joining Erin this week  for the MIM Challenge.  Check out this VIDEO  demonstrating how to use embossed lines created by your dies as guides for water coloring.
I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination, but do love to play with water coloring. :-)

I embossed the stem/leaves die from PTI's Rosie Posie then outlined  the raised side with acrylic Lime Green paint.  The inside of the leaves is two shades of water color paints.
Cardstock is PTI's Stamper's Select White ... which I saturated a little too much and it buckled a bit in the center~I added more double sided tape after the photo.
The sentiment is PTI from the Embellishments stamp set.
Other cardstock, sheer ribbon and pearl from my stash.

IMPRESSION LINE WATER COLORING

I am joining Erin this week  for the MIM Challenge.  She has demonstrated on this VIDEO  how to use embossed lines created by your dies as guides for water coloring.

The Peony cover plate from the November Release is perfect for this technique, but I don't have that one (yet) soooo,  here I am improvising cause I just don't want to miss a MIM op  :-)

I used the backside of the embossed PTI Beautiful Butterfly dies and outlined them with Orchid acrylic paint, the inside is watercolor aqua paint.  The sentiment is from PTI's Embellishments set and the cardstock is PTI's Stamper's Select White.

MAKE IT MONDAY
STAMPING OMBRE BACKGROUNDS

Laura's video on stamping ombre backgrounds has me thinking outside the box.  I have been looking through my stamp sets and trying to come up with unique ways to create cards for this challenge.

I lined up the 5 solid leaves from PTI's Fall Elegance stamp set and inked up my "border" in six different colors onto PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock that I ran through and cut Spellbinder's Label 8 die. The orange chevron paper is from a paper pad from Pebbles. "Happy Thanksgiving" (also from Fall Elegance) is gold embossed onto the Kraft owl gift tag I found at Target. His googlie eyes are from Michael's, the multi colored ribbon yarn is a local Thrift Store find.

STAMPING OMBRE BACKGROUNDS
Laura is up this week and brings her FUN style to a colorful project using a gradient of layered colors on MIM. You can watch her video HERE.

I started out stamping the music notes is different shades of pink inks on PTI's Stamper's Select White card stock to create my ombre background.
Then I cut one of the dies from PTI's Birthday Trio out of Silver Glimmer card stock and also cut a panel to glue under the white panel and on top of the Raspberry base card.
The Spellbinder banner is cut from Raspberry and Vellum ~ the 'wishes' is stamped onto the vellum.
I topped off the flowing sentiments with a glitter button tied with silver metallic cord and sprinkled a few sequins around.

You can watch her video HERE.

I layered the 'stripes' in different shades of blue to create the ombre background on Stamper's Select White cardstock.
The Hello and Star dies are double cut to look like a shadow, then I glued them together and adhered to the front with foam tape for some dimension.  The royal blue cardstock from Recollections is framing the top and all are taped to the White card base.

PARTIAL DIE CUTS FOR THE HOLIDAYS
You still have a little  time to post a project to this week's MIM.  Check out Melissa's video demonstrating this technique HERE.
I am starting to make some tags for Christmas cookies and other homemade goodies that I will be giving out to friends and neighbors this year.

Sorry for the dark inside photo.

The mason jar is stamped on PTI's Stamper's Select White card stock and also onto Clear Acetate. The snowman is stamped in light grey ink and the shadow around him is also light grey colored pencil. The snow on the bottom of the jar is White and Silver sparkly embossing powder.  The "Enjoy" stamp from PTI's Spiral Bouquet is also embossed on the banner sticking out of the top of the jar (it just looks like sparkly dots in the photo, I'm afraid).
My Partial Die Cuts are the silver and blue snowflakes and Pink banner.

MAKE IT MONDAY
PARTIAL DIE CUTS

You still have some time to post a project to this week's MIM.  Check out Melissa's video demonstrating this technique HERE.

I really like how this ornament (or gift tag,~haven't decided yet) came out. There is not much to it and I know it doesn't look it...
but it took me a few hours to put together.   :-o
It started out as a Snow Globe, but since I don't own that PTI die, I had to improvise a bit.
Click on photo for more details
I cut a Scalloped Circle with my Giga Marvy punch from PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock and from clear acetate.  The blue sky is sponged on as the background. The Glitter Paper snow was cut to look like hills then the glittery trees and snowmen
 were glued in place.

I could probably ask you to find my partial die cut here, but thinking "who has the time?"  :-)

So here is a picture:

It's PTI's Banner Borders that I cut out of Gold foil, then cut off  punched holes and glued them onto my Ornament for a hanger.
I cut one piece for the front, one for the back and a third to cover up the mess of Aleene's Tacky Glue on the front piece.

PARTIAL DIE CUTS
Here is another tag I made trying to emulate Miss Melissa in this week's MIM Challenge.  Ha! I wish!!
She creates a beautiful holiday tag using the partial die cutting technique.  You can watch her  video HERE.
Click on photo for more details

I usually don't like my first card/tag posted for the MIM challenges, however, I am really not crazy about my second one in this case.
Clearly I have issues, sniping off pieces of die cuts overlapping my cards and tags and only cut two of the snowflakes here.    ;-)

I took a paint brush and swiped the edge of my Kraft banner tag with Gold acrylic glitter paint...hmm, this looks better IRL
Spellbinder's  Laurel wreath is cut from gold foil.
PTI "By The Numbers" are cut from Seaglass Metallic card stock

The snowflakes are from a Marvy punch and bling was added to the center of each

The Sheer ribbon tie is from my stash

PARTIAL DIE CUTS

I am attempting to join Melissa this week as she makes a beautiful holiday project using a partial die cutting technique.  You can watch her  video HERE

I can't say that I love making tags, but I find that I am in awe of Melissa's creativity and her attention to detail, so here is what I came up with.

Click on photo for more details
Now I have to say, I really like when embellishments/dies cuts hang off the end of my cards/tags, so re-cutting the snowflakes on the numbers was NOT going to happen. I did cut off the dangling stars (under much duress).

The base cardstock is Stamper's Select White, it's embossed with Cuttlebug's Snowflake EF.  The Snowflakes are cut with a Marvy punch that I've had for years.
Stars punch is also Marvy, but only had that for a couple of months.
PTI's Banner Borders is at the top and was cut from gold foil cardstock

PTI's By The Numbers are the perfect size for December 25th tags, they take up quite a bit of space ;-)

Another Baby card, this one is for my dear friend's newest Granddaughter.

I used PTI's Sweet Baby stamps and Wonderful Words: Baby die.  The "baby" is partially stamped with an Impression Obsession  background stamp  "Greenery" which has tiny leaves and it is glued onto a piece of vellum. The base card is embossed with "Leaves and Diamonds" EF by Sissix.
