MIM #97-2012

Make It Monday #97 - 2012 A la Carte

Card #3 - this one is following MIM #85- Glitter Tabs.  Dawn McVey's video shows us how to use part of a tab and glitter it up.  I have banner tabs, that I cut, added gold glitter and adhered to either side of my stamped image.  Found those already glittered Christmas trees half price at Michael's the other day and added too.

PTI products used:  Stamper's Select White cardstock and the stamped sprig is from Spiral Bouquet stamp set.

Card #4 - following MIM #89- Creating Windows for Floating Images. I need a thank you card for Christmas cookies and created the window with a baking sheet and gingerbread gal cookie peeking through.  The heart on the outside kinda looks like it is being held in the cookie's hand...use your imagination a bit on that :)

The heart is punched out of a scrap of PTI's Green Tea Leaves Paper Collection.  I made my own chipboard by gluing four punched hearts together ~ which was another MIM challenge (not sure what the # of that one is).

MIM #97

Make It Monday #97 - 2012 A la Carte Challenge

Card #2 is from MIM # 89 Creating Windows for floating images.
This card is for one of my January Birthday Babys ~ I need four cards for next month, so I better get busy, huh?

This photo shows the window and the flower print paper with the sentiment stamped on it peeking through the clear acetate. The butterfly was made three dimensional by punching 3 and glue dots hold it on top of the 'window'.

My Card details:
  • Cardstock is Stamper's Select White from PTI; patterned paper inside is from mail I received with address labels attached        to it :)
  • Sentiment stamp is from Garden Flowers by Inkadinkado
  • The embossed frame is from Cuttlebug
  • Spellbinder's Label Eight is the negative window
  • Monarch butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch, pearls are from StudioG at Michael's
Thanks so much for stopping by!

December's Blog Hop challenge over at Papertrey Ink is  to create a white-on-white card.  You can add small pops of color or touches of neutrals, but the main focus of your project should be the color white. LOVE this!!

I hope to get a few more cards posted, but so want to check out every one's entries...maybe I'll have time for both? We have until 11:30 PM, so there is plenty of time :)

MIM #95 & MFW

I'm entering this card in the two challenges that I love to participate in ~

1.  Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger-Shiimmer and Shine
The inspiration photo has a lot of sparkly, pearly glittery going on and I picked up on the pearlized look of the ornaments and the gleaming shine of the silver in the photo and interpreted with white glitter on my card

2.  Make it Monday #95 - Layered Glitter Shapes
I didn't really decorate my snowflake ornament like Heather did in the above linked video, but thought the button would add a touch of decor.
My Card ~

Cardstock:  Base card is from Recollections; Stampers Select White from PTI was used for the glittered banner on top; the feathery print is a notecard from Target and the sky blue panel is a paint chip from Lowe's
Tools & Embellishments:  Banner Borders by PTI; Corner Rounder by EKSuccess; Labels8 by Spellbinders; Button from my stash and Binder Ribbon from Martha Stewart

Thank you for stopping by.

MIM #94

This week's Make It Monday video from Erin Lincoln is all about Detail Glitter Technique
Knowing how much I love glitter on my cards, I should have had 50 entries this week...
But, as luck would have it, I ran out of crafting time (again).  Anywho, here is the one card I managed to create.  It's for a friend's birthday coming up next week.

My Card ~

Cardstock:  Base/stamped on panel are Stamper's Select White (PTI); Lavender (Recollections); Patterned paper from Me&My Big Ideas
Stamps:  Sentiment is from Spiral Bouquet (PTI) and Dani's Garden Swing (Sparkle N Sprinkle)
Tools & Embellishments:  Corner Rounder ((EKSuccess); Ribbon from Michael's; touches of  Fine Glitter (on bee wings, leaves and flower center) from Martha Stewart

Thanks for stopping by :)

MIM #93

Not sure where this whole week went, but it's almost Monday morning again.  That ever happen to you?

It's late Sunday night and I'm posting a card to Make It Monday #93 ~ Splitting Die Cuts
I had hoped to get a couple of cards finished for this fun technique, you should check out Ashley's video ~ she is so detailed and creates the most beautiful cards.

Here is what I came up with:

  • The basecard is Stamper's Select White from PTI: the Black glitter paper is from Target; Blue polka dot is from Teaching Tree
  • Stamped Sentiment is from Spiral Bouquet by PTI
  • Dies used are Spellbinders - Labels Eight (cut in half) and the flower is Flower Silhouette from Die-namics
I die cut the flowers from book pages then embossed them with Ancient Gold powder from Ranger, I added a blob of yellow glitter from Stickles in the center of each flower

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by, I plan to check out everyone's entries tomorrow :)
