Caardvarks Shape Card Challenge

Caardvark has come up with some fun challenges in the past, but really loved this "Shape" card challenge~head on over to check out all of the talented entries on their site, they're awesome!
My card is actually a gift tag for a birthday gift. I stamped the tea cup (from Stampin Up) onto white card stock and used "Memories" Ink for shadow stamps on pink marble card stock for the inside of the card with the sentiment. I punched out a 'tag' with my large Marvy Punch and added a ribbon 'string' to look like a tea bag tag hanging out of the cup of tea.
This was a fun project and will definitely use it again (probably casing some of the fab ideas from you creative ladies out there ;)
Thanks for checking out my entry...hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Happy Friday to everyone!

Card Details: "L" Monogram Stamp is from Anita's inked with "Raspberry Pink" on artichoke card mat from DCWV . Cuttlebug Folders - "Divine Swirl on white card stock and "With Love" borders on Celery card stock (which looks grey in the photo-aghhhh! ) from DCWV. Raspberry Suite #5 and Card Patterns Sketch #14

Hope you all had a very Happy Mother's Day yesterday.
This post is getting in 'just under the wire' (again :)
I combined two challenges today. Dawn McVey's Color Challenges are so addicting and I just love the photo of those gorgeous Bougainvillea which looks exactly like the vine in my yard~same color too! I really liked the Sketch over at Card Patterns this week also. It's from their Guest Designer, Peter vanTelburg of the Netherlands, a young man who loves scrap booking and has a very unique style. Soooo, here's my take on both challenges this week.
My card: the Bright Pink (not red like it came out in my photo :( ) card with white glitter flowers is from 'All in the Cards, Inc". I cut out the squares with my 1 1/4" EK Success punch and glued onto a dark grey DCWV Mat cardstock which I scalloped on the bottom . The butterfly stamp is from "Parked on Rubber", it's cut out, stuck on with a glue dot to pop off the card, bling added and inked by "SU's" Rose Red which came out as my Medium Pink. The Dark Grey polka dot ribbon is from Miss Elizabeth's Scrapbook Ribbon and the ....flutter........... stamp is from "Inque's" Monarch clear stamp set. Thank you so much for stopping by~

CPS 114 Sweet n Sassy

Had to use the sketch over at Card Position Systems 'cause it is really a very kewl one.
This is for my niece Ava's 8 year old Birthday.

Card details: Bright stripe card is from my12X12 stash (I think purchased at ACM?) The cupcake is cut out (the paper cup is crimped and glued on top of the image), it is outlined with glitter gel pens and has Stickles "Crystal" glitter on the flames - it's a Dollar Tree stamp(!).
I cut out the number 8 freehand out of DCWV "Textured Mat Stack"and embossed it with Cuttlebug folder "Devine Swirls". Added seven more candles that I cut out of different colored papers and stuck them on the "honeydew Polka Dot" card stock back, which is plain and not polka dotted like the circle behind the "8"~"Crystal"glitter lights the flame on each one. I used my Marvy corner puch on the top part of the card and outlined the sentiment with cupcake with my Fiscars "Scallop blade. The inside paper is white with polka dots (see it under the card in my photo?) matching the colors of the stripes on the outside of the card.
Hope you all are enjoying your weekend. And, as always, thank you so much for stopping by!

Caardvarks - Don't Quote Me But... & Card Patterns #13

This is a card I made for my friend who adopted a sweet puppy yesterday. He's a mix of German Shepard and Golden Retriever and just a cute as can be.

I am entering two card challenges~
Caardvarks "Don't Quote Me But..." and Card Patterns Sketch #13, a great site I just found from perusing some one's entry (don't remember who, sorry :( but when I find it again, I will mention her name here).

Card Details: Base card is "Honeydew Polka Dot", the green & white stripe scalloped mat is a note card from Victoria Elizabeth. The flower patterned paper is from AC Moore. The puppy stamp is from See D's 262 Stamp Set. If you zoom in on the dog's collar, you will see 'studs' I added (cute :o) The black & white gingham ribbon is American Crafts , the silk flower from a bunch also bought at AC Moore. The inside paper is white with various sized green and pink polka dots. Sentiment written on my computer with the dark green ink same as quote on the outside of the card. I think this came out really cute, whadda ya think?

Nicole Heady Spring Challenge

Hope you are having a great Sunday!
Nicole heady from Papertrey Inc. has the most beautiful Challenge going on at her Blog "Capture the Moment". Her design team has come up with the most inspiring creations and Nicole has challenged us all to join in the fun. I love Lisa Johnson's field of tulips taken at The Skagit Tulip Festival. My card started out (in my head) as bold bright and vivid, but somehow evolved into soft pastels ~ Don't know how that happened, do you :o?

Anywho, here are the details on my card: The lavender card stock used as the card base is from Royal Langnickel. I recycled the pink, white, lavender, and green scollop punched card from a note card by Victoria Elizabeth. The textured white card stock with the stamp image is from The Paper Company. The 'tulips in the vase' stamp is from my See D's 262 set of clear stamps which I chalked in the colors pink-tulips, lavender-vase and used glitter markers to outline each. There is "Cotton Candy" Stickles on the flowers and 3-D Crystal Lacquer is added to the water (see the close up shot). I thought this was going to be enough on the card, buuuuttt, I was wrong, hence a sheer with satin edge ribbon bow was attached and, of course, a butterfly (Martha Stewart) with bling ~ somebody STOP me ~

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #4

This is my entry for Dawn McVey's color challenge #4. What a gorgeous choice of colors!
Dawn is in Hawaii, so I thought my theme should be in honor of her trip. Also, I can take this card and mail it from Hawaii when I go there :o)

Card details: My base Soft Aqua card stock is from Royal Langnickel bought at AC Moore. The flower and Aloha! stamps are from Inique Boutique's "Tropical Lagoon" clear set which is inked with "Chocolate Brown" from Stampabilities. Aqua colored bling ~compliments of Studio 18. The White vellum is embossed with Cuttlebug's "Swiss Dot" folder which is peeking out from the cut-out part of this huge flower stamp. The White sheer ribbon with satin edges is from Michael's. I tried to take the photo showing a bit of the inside paper which is white with a border of brown damask print. And yes, that is one of my real orchid plants in beautiful bloom! Thanks for stopping by ~ have a great weekend!
