Stenciled Watercolor Backgrounds 

Betsy is up on MIM this week with what she calls an easy technique for creating pretty watercolor backgrounds using stencils.  Well, I think Betsy can make any thing she does seem effortless and easy, but I am going to give this a try anyway :-)

I finally inked up my new "What The Doodle: Waves" stamp set 
and used the "Wood Grain" stencil for the watercolor background, I thought it could pass for water ;-)  
The grey base card is embossed with the Anchors embossing folder from Kaiser Craft which I received as a little gifty from a sweet friend. 💓
Not entirely thrilled with the outcome, but ran out of time this week for posting a card. 
Anyone else out there think time is whizzing by waaaay too quickly??

Here is the card I created using my Peonies On Parade and Song Bird Stamp/die sets. I colored the flowers with Copic Markers, added touches of clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle to the flowers and popped them on the Embossed card base (Stamper's Select White) with double sided dimensional tape.

My Card ~

This is vintage stamp from my wood block collection called Baby in Hat Box from Paper Inspirations.

I stamped in Sepia ink and just colored in the flowers with Copic markers and Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens.

The pattern paper (looks like wallpaper to me 😊) is from the Jack n' Jill paper stack collection by Prima Marketing.
The sheer pale pink ribbon is from Michael's.

Stamping Outside of the Box

This week, Lexi is upon MIM with a simple challenge for us.  Check out her video HERE.

Instead of a box I stamped a circle 😏 to stamp outside of. 
I made a template circle (Spellbinders) then stamped the musical notes (Stampendous) background onto my Stamper's Select white card stock base.  PTI's SongBirds were die cut and popped onto the circle partially "outside the box".  The Hello sentiment  is also in and outside the box. 😊

April Fool's Day BooBoo

Adding a card to Darnell's AFDBB 2nd annual event.

When I originally created this card, the stamped images where on the white cs and looked like it needed a little sumpthin sumpthin.  So I decided to pull the top panel off (which was really stuck on the yellow cs with excellent double sided tape) and add the border punch on the bottom and re-glued it back together.  
I really thought it looked much better BUT noticed the ripped parts (circled) were now showing 😒  
Hoping the recipient of this thank you card will be distracted and bedazzled by the beautiful flowers they won't notice! 😎

Joining in the fun at Darnell's Blog today.  It's always entertaining over there and today you get to poke fun at yourself for all of bloopers you create or you can use up some of your NBUS.  
You will surely catch an eyeful of inspiration there .

For her 2nd Annual April Fool's Day Challenge, she is asking us to share our boo-boos ~ it's all in fun, so dig 'em out of your recycle bin and post one or two ( may have a couple more :-)

You have the option to post cards with NBUS and/or do both. 
This is NBUS #11 Challenge.  I always need a little kick in the butt to chip away at my mountain, so this is the perfect time!

My card ~

the PTI 'Sweet Baby' giraffe is stamped on green card stock and the squiggle lines background stamp are inked on top then I cut it out, added the buttons and string around the neck to make him look like a pull toy😊

The 'baby' is a PTI word die and those tiny hearts were stamped on the argyle embossing folder by Cuttlebug.  The grass is a Martha Stewart punch and the wood veneer birds are from "Do it Yourself"
