Day 6-Card 7
Just popping in again to post a card I am mailing off to a friend who gave me a gift of my favorite tea π
Not sure my photo captures all the glitter on this baby ~
It was difficult, but I stopped myself from adding bling to the centers of the flowers! π

Pantone Chip Inspired Cards
Lexi is up for this week's Make It Monday Challenge. She is inspiring us with the layout and color matching possibilities of Pantone ink chips!
I was not sure I would have time to make a card and post this week, but I had a little sailboat from What The Doodle: Waves already colored in from another project I started and decided to go with a Coral paint chip from my vast collection π~ cut it down to a 2X2 square and pop it onto Stamper's Select white cardstock panel then tape it to a Navy card base.

My Card ~
Love that beautiful ombre glass in the photo and I, of course, was inspired to create a "glass" effect using my mason jar, Spectrum Noir Markers and Glossy Accents.
I swiped some Distress Stain on the background of the base card before adhering all of my die cuts to the top
I had to stamp/die cup my Peonies on Parade for this creation and added a little Wink of Stella on each flower. π

Create Along With Us challenge at Papertrey Ink allows us to select a card one of the amazing DT Members has created during the June Release that inspired you. We can then create our own version of their project...so awesome!
It's a fabulous opportunity to CASE something made by one of these talented ladies! π
There are so many cards I am going to CASE from the June Release, but since we can only enter one card for the

Creative With Stamps
The Design Team for
"Creative With Stamps"
has created another card to share with you
Mid Month for our June challenge~Fruit
Click on photo for more details |
This "sweet" image is from Hero Arts, it was part of a prize I won from a Birthday celebration drawing held by one of my fellow team mates ~ do you remember this stamp? π
Hint: I also got yummy German chocolate in my gifty package!
I colored in all the cherries/flowers/leaves with Spectrum Noir markers and added touches of Stickles here and there.Hint: I also got yummy German chocolate in my gifty package!
The yellow gingham paper is from DCWV and just seems to go with fruit images. π The embossing folder is Basket-weave from Darice and the sentiment was printed on vellum. The dyed binding ribbon was from another blog hop win. Oh, that cute bee is a button that I have been hoarding for a few years now.
I made the matching envelope out of that same gingham paper.
You can check out the cards from my fabulous team mates and all of the entries from everyone so far HERE.
You have until the end of June to enter our Challenge #15.
Hope you will join in the challenge and be eligible to win some prizes from our fun Sponsors. Just be sure to read through the few "Rules" and have FUN!

Baby Wipe Inking
Joining Ashley for this week's MIM and discovering a fun way to use reinkers and baby wipes creating interesting backgrounds and patterns. You can watch her video HERE and play along.
Click on photo for more details |
I used Ashley's 'flower' design with the rolled up baby wipe to create my background~I messed up a couple of dabbings, so the paper had to be cut on the diagonal before adhering it to the Raspberry base cardπ, the leaves from the Botanical Letters were the perfect size for my little rosettes. I die cut the Cover Plate-Butterfly from Stamper's Select White and used only 2 of the butterflies in the frame (hard to see in the pic, but I slathered on couple shades of Spectrum Noir Sparkle for some glitter action on those butterflies). This is going to be an Anniversary card, so I added the Swoosh sentiment and, of course... some bling π

My Card ~
Finally inked up my Botanical Letters. :-)
Used the same stamps, cardstock, score lines, embossing folder (on the base card) but added the ribbon to the white-on-blue for a tad more feminine look. I think I could use the blue-on-white as a masculine thank you, maybe (?)

I made this card for a new neighbor who is moving into the house across the street from me this month.
The Pineapple is a symbol of welcome that dates back to Colonial days. It was a prominent decoration on many New England area homes where I grew up and spent most of my life.
My Card ~
On the background of my watercolor paper, I added Tim Holtz Distress Stains in a brushstroke fashion. Three pineapples were stamped on top in black ink. I colored and Sparkled (Wink of Stella) two more pineapples then fussy cut them to be popped up on the face of my card.
PS: I thought my card needed a little something more (because I can never leave it be!) so I went back with a few sequins and that seemed to help ;-)
What do you think?
