I don't use traditional red and green on my Christmas cards very often, but the Song Bird leaves and berry sprigs are in a sorta kinda red 'n green in between/behind my pink Rosie Posie flowers plus the sentiment is cut from green paint chips  😉

I updated this "Ornament" with the banner from PTI's Song Birds and the With Love from Swoosh die sets cut from gold foil and glitter papers.  The snow flakes, silver twine are from my last year's Christmas stash  (or maybe from a few years ago) 😊

I went with the colors, plaid and patterns from the photo as inspiration for my card because I am waaaaay behind making Christmas cards, even though the photo is showing an Autumn theme. 😉

Create Along With PTI - November 2017

Create Along With Us challenge at Papertrey Ink allows us to select a card one of the amazing Design Team Members has created during the November Release that inspired you.  We can then create our own version of their project...pretty awesome, eh!
It's a fabulous opportunity to CASE something made by one of these talented ladies and post it! 😊

This thank you note is going out to a friend who hosted a 
girls-night-in for several peeps the other evening.  
The inside sentiment is  "For such a fun time"

I used Distress Stains for the sky and the ground and colored Cuddles and the wagon with my Spectrum Noir markers.

Holiday Photo Card

 

Ashley is sharing about creating holiday photo cards and doing an update from the holiday card Make it Monday that she shared with us last year!  You can check out her beautiful family photos, sweet little Lauren and the video with three Holiday photo card ideas HERE.

The challenge (quoted from Nicole's Blog) is to:
~ Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and incorporating a photo.

Truth be told, I haven't sent photo Christmas cards in a number of years now, but I do like to add a photo of the recipient to cards for a birthday, anniversary or thinking of you note, so I hope this counts for the MIM Challenge this week ;-)

Dawn's Blog Hop

Many of you are familiar with the personal health struggles Dawn McVey has had over the past few years, and might have seen the recent news that she is now a proud small intestine transplant survivor. 
The community thought there would be no better way to honor Dawn and support her during her journey to recovery than to make a colorful, vibrant presentation of get well soon greetings. Dawn has always brought color and joy into our lives, and now we are able to do the same for her.
So here's to Dawn. May she find the strength on the hardest days. May she have peace through the recovery process. May she feel the love shining down on her from around the world.

Now it is our turn to show this awesome lady how much we love her beautiful spirit and gorgeous creations.  I am going to make a few more cards over the next few days using one of Dawn's own designer stamp sets from"Raspberry Suite"  which is one of the prettiest floral sets in my collection called Peonies on Parade.

 Twine & Ribbon Wraps

My card ~
Stamps/Dies/Embossing Plate:  Nesting; Fall Elegance 

I love this sweet "Nesting" stamp/die set and using my Misti is a great tool for stamping the images on the small die cuts.    I don't have a wreath that would look good for this technique, but I wrapped some pink twine around the edge of my circle window and the edge of my card to add texture like Stephanie suggests.  😀
