Shadowed Sentiments

Lizzie is up this week on MIM showing us how to create a shadowed sentiment on a card front.

My Card ~  

I really really really liked what Lizzie created, so I pretty much had to CASE her card ~ I mean, seriously, why mess with perfection?  

I also have a strong need to order 'Warm Regards' and the 'Quatrefoil' stencil😉

Used my PTI Tulip Time stamps/dies for my flowers, sentiment from Beautiful Butterflies.  The stencil is from Prima. I added the three different size pink pearls from Michael's $1 (now $2) bins  cause I thought it needed a little something.

This is such a fun Birthday photo to be inspired by! 

My Card ~
I picked up on the cake theme, the polka dots, that silver bucket and sink faucet,  the score lines on my background are meant to mimic the blinds on the windows and of course those pretty pastel colors 😊

Create Along With Us - January 2018

So happy Papertrey Ink is continuing their amazing challenges.  

Melissa's inspirational card

There are so many lovely creations, it's hard to choose just one for the challenge.   But, Melissa has inspired me with this beautiful card which I chose to CASE. 

Melissa is really the master of layering and her cards are always so gorgeous.  I tried to add some of the same elements on my card. 
My balloon dies are smaller so I used 5 instead of 3 and added a couple more sequins. :-)  
The corner bubble die plate is from Sizzix cut onto  PTI Stamper's Select White card stock.  I sponged some pastel colors along the edges and added PTI's Swoosh 'happy' stamp to  one of the Birthday Trio dies as my sentiment.

I stamped two different size snowflakes in white ink onto a navy blue card-stock panel. The white card base is embossed with a snowflake folder by Darice.  Santa and the Row of Houses are dies cut from heavy weight White card-stock and popped onto the night sky with double sided tape for dimension.  

Can you see the glitter paper I used for the snow in front of the houses and that is yellow glitter paper for lights in the windows  :-)

Heat Embossed Stencil Backgrounds

Song Bird die cut in gold shimmer  and black papers and Song Bird Leaves cut from forest green card stock

First I used Ranger's 'Shabby Shutters'  green embossing powder, then when over different areas with 'Princess Gold' embossing  onto my leafy Stencil

Newsprint panel from 7gypsies paper pad 

Stitched Circle die is from (?) a no name company from Amazon.com

2017 A LaCarte

I am so happy Papertrey Ink is keeping so many of our favorite challenges going. This week's MIM is the yearly A la carte~we can go back through the wonderful MIM videos from last year and play-it- again :-) 

There are several videos I will watch and re-make the cards but for today's challenge, I picked  #281: Patterns Behind Die cut Windows. Dawn McVey was up and her card was one of my faves.

I made this a sympathy card to keep in my stash ~ thought it had a comforting and peaceful feel.

This sweet stamp is called 'Snow Girl' from Stampendous.  I masked her off to add my snowflakes in the background.  The die cut in the corner is from Tim Holtz and the snowflake embossing folder on my base card is by Darice.
