Cuttlebug - Be Inspired #20

Don't you just love this week's challenge from Valerie Salmon (Got Sketch?) over at Cuttlebug Challenges Blog. It's a beautiful sketch that I started last week, then got sick with a nasty virus and couldn't finish until today ... nothing like applying a little pressure to myself, huh :^) Used one of my favorite Cuttlebug folders ~ Swiss Dot, Fiscar Border punch, "Birthday Wishes" sentiment stamp from Brenda Walton's clear stamps (Inkadinkado), the flourish is an Outline Sticker from Anita's and the papers, silk flower and button from my ACMoore stash.
I am waaay out of my 'color comfort zone' here, but thought it would be a cheery card for my friend's birthday next week. Head over to the Cuttlebug blog if you'd like to see all the beautiful creations from the design team and other fabulous bloggers!

  1. What an elegant looking card. Great colors.

  2. Just lovely! And soooo elegant! I'm thrilled you joined us this week at the Cuttlebug Challenge! Can't wait to see what you'll create this week!

Can I ask a question - did you emboss your strip and then punch or did you punch and then emboss? It's a great look!

  3. Thank you for playing with us at Cuttlebug Challenge Blog
Your card will be featured on the blog tomorrow together with the other cards.

  4. Such a pretty card! I love the embossed border strip, and that pretty flower! Great job with Be Inspired 20...thanks for participating this week at the Cuttlebug Challenge blog!
