MIM #61- Creating flowers with leaf dies

Spent last week in MA visiting my family and and a friend and missed a couple of blog challenges. I love making the cards I need from these wonderful blog inspired challenges...it really pushes me to get these cards done each week ~ usually, at the last minute :o)

I made this card to join in the new Make It Monday-'creating flowers with leaf dies' at Papertrey Ink this week. Check out Dawn's video here:

I don't have any leaf dies, but I used a Martha Steward 'Rose Leaf" punch (see the extras on the bottom of the photo) and kinda like the flower created with it. I punched 16 leaves out of card stock that was embossed with Cuttlebug folders. Cut out a round disk and used score tape to adhere the leaves in two layers.

My Card ~ click on the photo for a more detailed look
Cardstock: Basecard and stamped on panel are Stamper's Select White from PTI; green panel and lavender 'flower' is Recollections; patterned paper is from Pressed Petals paper pack;
Stamps: Fancy Flourish from PTI, sentiment from my computer
Tools and Embellies: Rose Leaf Punch is Martha Stewart; square bling is from Crafter's Square, Cuttlebug embossing folders used on 'flower petals'
Thank you for stopping by ~ you are so appreciated :o)
