MAKE IT MONDAY #168
BABY WIPE STAMPING
Ashley is up this week and her video demonstrates how to use baby wipes and re-inkers as a stamp pad.
Okay, so I used a Rosie Posie stamp and die cut for this Baby Wipe Technique. The flower is kinda tie die looking with the re-inkers, I inked the Step 2 part with solid color to define the image a bit more. The Beautiful Butterfly image is a mistake :-o
There was no way I was tossing the card as the butterfly was the last addition....and, think maybe I created a new (well, to me) technique :-)
* I inadvertently inked the back of the butterfly into the baby wipe and ended up with a blob of colors
* Turned the butterfly to the right side and inked it in solid blue
* Stamped over the blob

Helen you are too funny , I love your newly, last minute added, technique! Perfect touch to your gorgeous flower! Pretty layers and design !
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun butterfly and very nice card. They say that necessity is the mother of invention ...
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card. I love the colors you used. Great job on hiding your oops. (this is one reason I hate one layer cards. I get to the end and always mess them up!!)
ReplyDeleteOh I love the colours on the flower! Really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHelen, you even photographed the stamp of the butterfly! Love the artsy look to both images!
ReplyDeleteWay to "save" your card Helen, using the Butterfly stamp two ways! Rosie Posie is a great stamp set to use for this technique. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful save! Love your colors! :0)
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card with those lovely colors.
ReplyDeleteTwo great minds think alike! I used Rosie Posie also, I was skyping with my friend (Linda, the one who commented just before me...and she said, "Oh Helen used Rosie Posie" also...now I did not use a butterfly, but chances are I would do the same thing you did...I have done it before! Great save by the way! Lovely card!
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty, and I am laughing about your oops with the butterfly. It really looks like it should be there, so I'd say you recovered pretty well. I'm going to have to remember your tip next time I make an oops that is too big to be hidden by a sequin. This technique really adds such interest to the stamped image.
ReplyDeleteWow! Helen this is beautiful!! I have not had a chance to see the video yet. I love the colors you used! Beautiful: )
ReplyDeletePatti
