My choice of drink?  I love a good cup of coffee in the morning and then switch over to tea ~ usually iced in the afternoons and a hot cup of Herbal in the evening. 
I added a touch of Spring (keeping with the theme) with the pretty embroided flowers.  The background is stamped with a sweet tea service stamp set. Used one of my all time favorite quotes as the focal point.

I don't have the Quadrefoil Cover Plate, I came real close to moving it from my wish list to my cart, last order, but....maybe next order.
I used a Stencil from Prima and watercolor paints to create my background on Stamper's Select White. Die Cut a Beautiful Butterfly from purple card stock and polka dot vellum adhering the center piece cut from gold foil. The Swoosh 'hello' was cut from the same purple and the Metal Dots were scattered about.  Each layer is popped up with 2mm mounting tape for dimension.

MAKE IT MONDAY

COVER PLATE STENCILS and

 EMBOSSING PASTE

To create this technique, I used a honeycomb cover plate as a stencil with embossing paste onto a Black cardstock banner. Rosie Posie flowers are adhered to the top.  The violet base card is embossed with a butterfly EF from Darice.

DAY 8:  BLUE OMBRE CHALLENGE

Today we are introduced to a new set of stamps and dies "Blue Skies".  Our challenge is to create a blue ombre card using different shades of this beautiful color.  It can be an ombre background, several of the same image stamped in shades of blue, ombre inking of a bold stamp or whatever else we can dream up.

First I took 6 shades of blue inks and ombred up a piece of Stamper's Select White cardstock.  I used the Zebra embossing folder from The Paper Studio to add texture, then die cut three white Beautiful Butterflies and added a different EF to them.  There is a panel of my darkest blue cardstock underneath and adhered all to the White base card.  The sentiment is from Embellishments stamp set.

DAY 7:  HEAVY METAL CHALLENGE

Today we are to incorporate nothing but metallics and neutrals into a new card creation.  We can heat embossing, use metallic papers, embellishments, fibers or ribbons.

The Embossed 'frame'  panel is silver metallic cardstock and the leaves from Spellbinders are die cut out of green metalic cardstock.
The PTI die ~ Wonderful Words: hello is cut on gold foil.  All is mounted onto Stampers Select White card base from PTI.

DAY 5:  SPRING INTO ACTION

Today's post is all about Spring, so the challenge is to "spring" into action by inking up a set that has yet to see ink or pull out a set that hasn't been used nearly enough. 
I actually had one PTI stamp set that has a couple of  'unused' stamps in it (gasp)!

I inked up a few stamps from PTI Embellishments set with White ink onto Chocolate Chip  cardstock to create a paisley background. Stamped a different stamp from this set in Honey ink on Stamper's Select White, cut out and adhered then both with Double sided tape, added a satin sheen brown ribbon bow and the brown panel is slanted on top of the White base card.

DAY 4:  BUILD A BOUQUET 

Today's Challenge is to grab a few favorite floral stamp sets and "build" a bouquet on a card cover.  Combine flowers from two, three or even four stamp sets for a really unique, colorful look.

I used three different floral stamp sets on my card.  Stamping Hibiscus flowers on Stamper's Select White card stock, colored them with Prismacolor Pencils to obtain a watercolor look by using a paint brush then cut a piece of vellum paper to mute the colors even more.  Adhered the Rosie Posie stamp set dies on top of the vellum panel with Pop up dots for some dimension.  The Base card is embossed with polka dots ~ although I could have used a flower EF there too ~ slapped my forehead  ;-)

MAKE IT MONDAY
LAYERING COVER PLATES AND DIE CUTS

I put off entering the MIM Challenge this week because I don't have any of  PTI 's beautiful  cover plates, which I hope to correct with my next order :-)  I just love the Peony CP Dawn McVey used HERE in her video showing us how to create a beautiful card by layering cover plate die cuts.  But, how could I not join in on the 200th (WOW) challenge!  A really HUGE thank you to Nichole and the talented PTI design team members!

I used PTI's True Black cardstock to cut my first die and Avocado green for the second. Glued them together with a bit of the black showing, then mounted both onto Stamper's Select White card base.
