JANUARY 2016

As you can see, I was mostly influenced by the colors (4 different shades of turquoise, orange, kraft, white, black) of the inspiration photo on Nichole's Blog, but I used textured card stock on my Song Bird dies and that's a hexagon embossing folder by Momenta on the White background panel. The kraft flower is a felt strip that I saved from something that was shipped to me a while ago ;-)
I am working on a new computer with the very new to me Windows 10 ~ the old familiar computer crashed last week :(
I have a computer-fix-it-dude coming but not til another 10-14 days. Sorry my posts are going to be sparse til I can figure out how/where/when everything is or when my "old" files get transferred over.
In the meantime, if you email me or leave a comment with any questions about my cards and I will get back to you that way.
Your birds are so fun, and I like how you were inspired by the colors of the inspiration photo.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and cute, Helen. I too was inspired by the colours. Good luck with that computer thing. Wouldn't want to be you right now, way too annoying :)
ReplyDeleteOh Helen, this is so darling! These little birds are to fun to create with! Love it!

ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty, Helen! Gorgeous use of the colors. Best of luck with the computer - I live in fear of a crash.
ReplyDeleteI've managed to adjust to Windows 10, but scared myself silly when I thought all our pictures & documents had disappeared! Thankfully, I somehow found them, which is a minor miracle considering how computer illiterate I am--haha! Anyway, you came up with such a sweet card using the colors--love that set which I don't own!
ReplyDeleteI totally love your takes on the challenge! Those die cut birdies are my favorite!
ReplyDeleteSOOOO pretty Helen and so happy to see you using my favorite stamp set!! Love that you were able to get a feminine take out of such a graphic inspiration photo too! And good luck with the new computer and Windows 10...my husband keeps bugging me to download it on my computer, but I'm too chicken...I like knowing where everything is!!
ReplyDeleteThe colors were a great way to go, and I love the sweet songbirds in orange. Beautiful card. So sorry about the computer problems, Helen. Been there, and it's so frustrating!
ReplyDeleteThose birdies are super sweet. Great card.
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best with your conversion, Helen, and I hope it goes smoothly! I'm really glad you were able to get this sweet card posted! I love the design of those birds, the background e/f, and the brilliant musical sediment banner!! Hugs, Darnell
