NBUS #9-card 3

Back again with another card for Darnell's 9th NBUS Challenge.  I'm tellin' you, I could post 3 cards each day for a full year and I'm sure it would not make a hill of difference in my Mountains of NBUS 😒
The really sad thing is, I just got home from Tuesday Morning and HAD TO BUY more craft schtuff that was on sale there.
~Lord help me!!!

Spinner Cards

I am joining Lizzie this week who is up on MIM, she shares her tips for how to make an interactive spinner card!

My Card~
I decided to use Beautiful Butterflies cut from colored cardstock instead of the heart shape as my 'spinner' and embossed the top white panel instead of adding stamped images. But, I pretty much followed Lizzie's video to create this.  The butterfly antennae is cut from black glitter paper and the orange dots are glittery too 😉
I didn't want to make this card feminine and kept it kinda CAS, it's going to my brother.

NBUS #9-card 2

Since I have a couple of mountains of NBUS (oh, I'm not alone😀), I thought I would add card #2 to Darnell's challenge.  I know it's a ton of work to put on these events, but I do so appreciate the chance to hack away at ALL the NBUS in my craft room and as a bonus, add to my card inventory without waiting for the last minute (huh, like THAT will ever happen) to get the card to the Post Office before 5PM. 😒 This is Darnell's 9th challenge and surely you have a 'few' craft items you can put together for posting HERE also!

NBUS #9 - card 1

WOW, I have been commenting and crafting so sporadically lastely! {Big sigh inserted here} So, I totally missed NBUS Challenge #8 over at Darnell's last week. 
But, here I am joining in for NBUS Challenge #9 this week.
Oh, just in case you have never (gasp!) been over to the Playhouse for a visit, you need to stop by.   Her cards are always so very inspiring, her posts are really fun to read and she happens to be one of the most creative and talented ladies here in Blog Land!
Darnell is undergoing surgery today, so I am pedaling as fast as I can to send some extra prayers and well wishes to my sweet friend for her swift return to good health and crafting. 💓

2016 A La Carte

This week Papertrey Ink has a fun MIM. There is a summary of all 34 videos posted in 2016, allowing you to take advantage of a technique or challenge you might have missed or did not get a chance to play along with and create a project using that tutorial. 

I chose Make It Monday #252: Shadowing with Copic Markers where Danielle showed us how to add a shadow effect to your die cuts with Copic Markers.

My card~

PTI Dies:  CoverPlate-Butterfly; Swoosh-hello

I cut the cover plate in white and then in purple, then trimmed out 2 of the smaller butterflies keeping the larger one attached to the frame.  My shading on the butterfly was done with Spectrum Noir #HB1.  The 'hello' is die cut from purple glitter card stock and the gold sequins are from my stash.  All are adhered to an embossed white card panel then glued to a purple card base.
