2016 A La Carte

This week Papertrey Ink has a fun MIM. There is a summary of all 34 videos posted in 2016, allowing you to take advantage of a technique or challenge you might have missed or did not get a chance to play along with and create a project using that tutorial. 

I chose Make It Monday #252: Shadowing with Copic Markers where Danielle showed us how to add a shadow effect to your die cuts with Copic Markers.

My card~

PTI Dies:  CoverPlate-Butterfly; Swoosh-hello

I cut the cover plate in white and then in purple, then trimmed out 2 of the smaller butterflies keeping the larger one attached to the frame.  My shading on the butterfly was done with Spectrum Noir #HB1.  The 'hello' is die cut from purple glitter card stock and the gold sequins are from my stash.  All are adhered to an embossed white card panel then glued to a purple card base.
