My Rosie Posie flowers and Song Bird leaves fit the bill nicely for this card I made for my first 2018 birthday ~ my niece on January 11💗

Create Along With PTI - December 2017

Create Along With Us challenge at Papertrey Ink allows us to select a card one of the amazing Design Team Members has created during the December Release that inspired you.  We can then create our own version of their project...pretty awesome, eh!
It's a fabulous opportunity to CASE something made by one of these talented ladies and post it! 😊

There are so many lovely creations, it's hard to choose.   But  Laurie has inspired me with her lovely hearts and flowers set of cards which I chose to CASE.

I don't know why I am so far behind with mailing my Christmas cards, oh, wait, I know...I'm STILL making them!!  😳 
I did get to the post office today to mail a few packages up North.
Well, at least I didn't wait til the 19th, which is the busiest day of the Season for mailing.

My Card ~
Stamps:  Jaunty Reindeer and Forest Ridge are old wood block stamps that I bought at Hobby Lobby years before clear cling stamps came out! 😁  I still love the 'oldies but goodies' and pull them out to use for my Christmas cards along with the 1000 or so stamps I've bought since. 

Sentiment:  peace is a die cut from sizzix 'Seasons Greetings'

Cardstock:  Cream watercolor paper was used for my stamping and painting; Black panel frames the scene; Lavender is my base card

I used watercolor paints for the night sky, masking out the moon. stamped the trees several times with green  and brown inks above a ridge of snow which has Wink of Stella glistening all over it. The trees are speckled with 'Crystal' Stickles (both are difficult to see in my photo~but look really pretty IRL).

I have an amazing friend who starts baking Christmas cookies in October!  She must make 50-60 different kinds and puts together trays/tins/boxes of these yummy treats for family and friends.  
I love getting this Special gift from her and always make a thank you card I know she will get a kick out of 😋

Easy Fan Brush Trees

This week Betsy will be challenging us to get a little artsy and try our hand at creating some fan brush watercolor trees for pretty, wintry scenes. 
You can see her gorgeous card and watch the video HERE.
LOVE the pretty winter tree scenes and always bought those boxed Christmas cards displaying them before I started making my own cards. Now, I need a bit more practice, but had fun creating these beautiful wonderlands on my card today. Thank You, Betsy!😊
