MAKE IT MONDAY
Above and Below
Lizzie is up on MIM this week sharing a simple design technique that highlights a sentiment and makes it the center of attention. You can see her video and beautiful card HERE.
My Card ~
I die cut and stamped Brushed Blooms in purples, yellows and blues and surrounded (above and below) my sentiment which is stamped onto a wonky stitched frame. I used a Sizzix embossing folder of large leaves to create a background panel then adhered all these layers onto Stamper's Select White card base.

Thanks Lizzie for the tip on adding darker color to the edges of your flowers and leaf images to add depth and interest~ Love how this turned out! 😁
Beautiful blooms Helen. I love the colors you chose and your design is delightful.
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely card Helen! I've always had a love/hate relationship with the Brushed Blooms set, but you've used it beautifully here! Love your color choices and your embossed background too! You definitely knocked this challenge out of the park Helen!! :0)
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty color combination and I love how the flowers hang off the one side.
ReplyDeleteLove your gorgeous arrangement, Helen! the background lends such depth to those lovely blooms!
ReplyDeleteLoving your beautiful background, and the flower arrangement is lovely.
ReplyDeleteSuper pretty card- you can see the darker ink adds depth.
ReplyDeleteRapping myself on the head wondering why I never use all those emboss folders I own! Your card looks fabulous with those brushed blooms and highlighting the edges. And, Helen, the textured background really adds dimension! I can see why you love his this turned out.
