Moxie Fab - Tuesday Trigger -Pretty in Turquoise and Gold
Good Monday aternoon everyone. Hope you had a great weekend and are ready to tackle another week~the last one in January~Wow, where did this month go?
While we ponder that question, I am posting my card for last week's Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World. This is such an inspirational photo from Decor Pad via House of Turquoise. Love these color together, although I must say I haven't used 'em much...but, think I will now :o) The Wallpaper in the photo is pretty much duplicated in the Cuttlebug folder which I dragged the Pearlescent (kinda gold-beaige color) ink pad over. The touches of tourques are in the daisies, ribbon and the third oval peeking out the edge of the card. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!
My Card~
Cardstock: American Crafts
Stamp: Daises by Happy Stamper
Ink: Pearlescent Sky Blue and Pearlescent Beige by Archival
Tools: Stylized Flower embossing folder by Cuttlebug; 3" Scalloped Ovals by Marvy; Threading Water border punch from Fiscars
The perfect color turquoise satin ribbon came in a pack of goodies from Christine's Creative Journey Blog Candy that I won~yay!

Cards for Texas Children's Hospital
Just finished up a few more cards for Winter Sim's Valentine's Day cards she is bringing to the kids in Texas Children's Hospital. She reached her goal for St. Jude's Hospital's kiddies. Check out her blog "Winter Wonderland" for more details ~ http://winterwonderlandcrafter.blogspot.com/ WOW, she is truly amazing, huh?
I had fun with the first set of cards I mailed last week, so thought I would send these along too. They are pretty simple designs based mostly on EBTKS Challenge Sketch this week as I was trying to mass produce...something I have trouble with, cause I always have a need to re-invent the wheel :o) The sentiments inside are simply Valentine wishes for either boys or girls, I signed my name and where I am from....I'm off to the post office now!

I really like the sketch over CPS, check it out http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/

Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge
Good Wednesday Morning to you! Hope your week is going well. Our Florida weather is warming up a tad, so by the weekend we should be in a "normal temp range" of 70~ Whooo Hoooo!
Just a note about how this card started out to be pretty "simple" in my head, however it took on quite a different persona down on paper. it has lots of patterns in the alpha stamps and add the ribbon, layers of dp and punches ~ I thought I would post it to Fussy and Fancy's Challenge #1.
The theme is--NEW! That is: new year, new stamp, new product, new baby, new home, new anything! The DT thought it would be fun to use Fussy and Fancy blog colors in their creations, which I think I have covered here too :o) Whadda ya think?
My card~
Cardstock: Base pale pink from Royal Langnickel; Raspberry pink from Recollections Butterfly Wings; Patterned pink from DCWV
Stamps: L,V,E from Anita's Alphabet Set
Ink: Cranberry from Stampabilities
Ribbon: Pink Satin with sheer edges from Offray

Cards for St. Jude
Hey there! Winter Sims is asking for some help from us. She is trying to collect Valentine's Day cards for the children in St Jude's Hospital. Winter and her family are going to hand deliver these cards personally. What a generous and beautiful gesture on her part, huh? Well, I think helping put a smile on the faces of these children is always a great charitable cause so I have joined this challenge and making some Valentines. I keep coming up with more ideas, so as they fall out of my head and on to paper, I'll post em :)
If you would like to join in this is copied directly from Winter's Blog:
http://winterwonderlandcrafter.blogspot.com
Here are some of the guidelines from St. Jude hospital and a few of mine.* Cards need to be a Valentine theme.
* Cards can't have anything about 'Get Well Soon', 'Feel Better', or anything reminding them of being sick. (Only Valentine Cards)
* Please make cards that can be used for any gender or age. (This could be a little tricky, but I think you can handle it!) :)
* Cards must be able to fit into a 4 1/2 X 5 3/4 envelope. (I will provide clear envelopes for each card, so there is no need to send one with your card.)
* Please send all cards to me at:
Winter Sims
Cards for St. Jude
P.O. Box 754
Warren, TX 77664* You can include a message in the inside, but please remember, nothing reminding them of being sick. (Maybe just a Valentine sentiment).
* You can also sign your name and where you are from.
* I will be excepting cards for the whole month of January.

Moxie Fab - Tuesday Trigger & Everything But the Kitchen Sink
This week's Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger is a beach cottage bedroom from Coastal Living Magazine submitted by Kazan Clark. I have to tell you these colors are in my guest room and living in Florida I am always inspired by summery images...even though it is winter here now and at 50 degrees, it's freezing to us ~ sorry everyone up North and in the Mid-West, but it IS cold :(
I also think this card qualifies for EBTKS's Challenge this week ~ *Use wrapping paper in your creation!
My card is for my niece's birthday~she lives in the North East and really hates the cold, so I thought this would warm her up.
Details ~
Stamps: Seashell Border and Warm Wishes sentiment are from "Stamping Cabana" (which used to be a local stamp/craft store in this area 6-7 years back), Adirondack Chair and Shells is from "Inkadinkado"
Inks: Brilliance "Moonlight White" and Stampabilities "Chocolate Brown"
Card stock: White and Aqua Blue from Georgia Pacific
Tools: Cuttlebug folder "Divine Swirl, EKSuccess "Corner Rounder" punch

*Giftwrap is the brown paper wrapping on a package I received for Christmas and I stamped it with the Seashell border in "Moonlight White" ink
Capture the Moment - Scrap-tastic Challenge
You need to pop over to check out what the Senior DT for PTI did with scraps! Fabulous cards and some tips on how to store your left overs.
On the first of every month Nicole Heady sets up a challenge for her Design Team. Well this month she's challenged anyone else to join in. The challenge: Use all of those scraps to create your project. I couldn't resist this one, seeing as I have files full to the brim with scraps of papers, baskets of ribbon pieces, jars of embellishments, etc. etc. etc. I do have a tendancy to use my puches on the smaller pieces which I keep in 'coin' envelopes also. This photo is only a teeny tiny portion of what I consider "Good Scrap Pieces" :)
My card ~
Stamped Image: PTI Fancy Flourishes, inked in "Chocolate Brown"
Card stock: White, Brown, Raspberry are from American Crafts
Patterned Papers: Hmmm, a little of this and that
Punches: Martha Stewart's-Butterfly, EKSuccess-Corner Rounder and Fleur de lis, McGill-Super Giant Daisy 2"
Brad in center of daisy from Making Memories
