Make It Monday #92 features a video from Melissa Phillips showing us how she creates Layered Vellum Die Cut cards. Check it out HERE
I made a simple card using a mason jar on vellum and stamped onto patterned paper. There are a couple of snowflakes in the jar and a few more falling from the sentiment. I also punched out some extras to put inside the card for the recipient to gather up off the floor when they open this card :o)
Cardstock: Card base is Stamper's Select White by PTI; polka dot is from AC Moore; cloudy Vellum is from Fiscars (the cloudiness looks like snow in 'good' light); White Glitter & navy blue snowflakes punched from Target papers
Sentiment: generated from my computer and 'Blessings' from PTI's Fall Elegance
Tools & embellishments: Corner Rounder from EK Success; Snowflake is Marvy; clear bling from Studio G; Baker's Twine is Darice from ACMoore
Love the mason jar of vellum. I tried it to but I just couldn't make it work. Yours looks great.
ReplyDeletewonderful....I love the look of vellum!

ReplyDeleteHelen, I love Mellisa, too! What a great video and you did your homework beautifully. Love this cute jar. Vellum is kind of scary to me, but you have inspired me. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSuch perfect use of vellum - love your card!
ReplyDeleteHelen this is so pretty! I just took this set out last night to play with again. It has been too long! Congrats on your MIM win too! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea, Helen! You've captured snowflakes like fireflies! This is definitely going in my CASE folder.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Helen. The vellum over the jar reminds me of a firefly jar my son made for me. It lights up. The snowflakes are perfect.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun card. Great idea using the snowflakes, and I love the idea of having a few to trickle out as it's opened. Fun. ;-)
ReplyDeleteJust saw that you won!! Yippie . BIG congrats!!! Hugs, Karin
