I
really didn't have to look very far to find my most recent blooper. I
had just about everything on this stamped image colored in and then
added my sentiment. Yep, that smudgy ink by the lid of my cup is from
my fingers which got onto the ink pad somehow...ever happen to you?
No? Huh, I say! ;-)

Well, I was running short on time, so fast thinker that I am, I came up with a "fix" (yeah, that was about an hour later). In hindsight, it definitely would have been less time to re-color the image!

GREAT save!! Really a cute card.....any yes, I have done this very same thing...over and over....and over again!
ReplyDeleteYou rescued it the way I always do with things like that, cut it out and use it on another card base ... I too am always getting smudges on my pristine white cards!! They should call my the clumsy crafter! TFS! Hazel xx

I love the card. lets pretend you did it on purpose :)
ReplyDeleteHow many times have I done that! Love your rescue, it made a fab card. Cara x
ReplyDeleteI've smudged sooo many times, can't even count how many. I keep a baby wipe handy and it helps, a little. I love your card Helen, fantastic save. Thanks for sharing~
ReplyDeleteAh, the plight of the smudgy fingers that occurs at the 'pretty much done' phase! Great save! Your oopsie makes me smile!

I smudge all the time. Cute save!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant save, the card looks wonderful. Yes we all have to admit to the ink smudge, glue smear on a creation or 2.....200.
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't think I could count that high as to how many times I have smudged a card. But I love the way you fixed it up and created a wonderful design. We crafters often find a way to use our boo boos anyway.
ReplyDeleteI am the smudge-queen, here! Oh, I tell you! And if it isn't my own fingers or hand or elbow!!...it's one of my cats jumping up at precisely the WRONG moment!! lol... TFS.

Great card/save. I think it is funny how we save our boo boos. Yeah it would be quicker to recolour but we want to save our work and spend 3 times as long fixing up our mistakes! You are not alone with this one :) TFS
ReplyDeleteHa!!! I am posting a Penny Black card tomorrow that I had to hide a big old smudge on...Stuck a sun over it LOL! Ended up liking it better in the end!!!
ReplyDeleteYou made your boo boo work, kudos to you!
ReplyDeleteThat was a great save for your boo boo, Helen, but you do bring up a good point for all of us! Why is that we go to great lengths sometimes to fix these smudges when the image itself could more easily be restamped and recolored? Seriously, WHY is that? LOL! (Note to hamsters!) Happy April Fool's Day and thank you so much for playing in my first BFCBB Hop!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteDouble sided tape sure is a lifesaver and who hasn't put inky fingers or dropped the inked stamp after all the hard work on ones wonderful creation...you did a great recovery job Helen, have a lovely weekend
ReplyDeleteOh yes, my fingers are always getting inky and sometimes with the same results. Turned out lovely though.
ReplyDeleteThat has happened so many times to me and always when i have finished my card. Great save .
ReplyDeleteMarie
