MIM #298

 MAKE IT MONDAY

Faux Epoxy Embellishments

Betsy Veldman is up on MIM this week with a tutorial for creating your own faux epoxy embellishments using die-cuts and clear embossing powder.  You can view her video HERE.

Sorry, I'm having computer issues and could not photo edit my picture.  The song birds are my faux epoxy embellishments and they are perched on tree limbs from a Darice Embossing folder not just floating in mid air as they appear to be.😕  The snow flakes are sparkly and really pretty IRL.
Oh, and another "problem" with this card, my Ranger embossing ink pad seems to have disintegrated, so those bumpy colored splotches were not intentional...
I'm going with~they are "textured" epoxy embellishments!

  1. Very sweet card! I have the same problem with wet embossing if I have to use a certain ink pad. I used it on some hessian and now it does not want to stamp cleanly! lol It is clearly paying me back for not treating it better...

  4. Awe, Helen, another beauty using Songbirds! It's still on my wish list but just keeps getting bumped. Love how you combined dry embossing with your embellished birds and musical banner. The snowflakes really stand out, too.
