BANNER-IFIC

Joining here with Michelle Leone as she shares inspiration in using your paper crafting supplies to create a fun banner for the upcoming holiday season.  You can see the instructional video and the beautiful banners Michelle created HERE.  

We can make a project utilizing our take on the challenge like Michelle shared in the video, I spotted a card at the end, so here is my take on this week's MIM 😊.

My card ~
See the party banner?  I stitched the die cut flags together and adhered it to the base card across the top of those cute 
PTI  'Sweet Baby' animals and 'By The Numbers' stamps/dies for this 3year old's birthday.  The base card is embossed with a sort of banner design also.

This card was made for a male friend's winter birthday, so I like the darker color scheme used here.

Used my PTI old standby ~ 'Fall Elegance' (circa 2009) pumpkins and sentiment. This set is now in the Vault.
The tree is a woodblock stamp from Stampendous 'Tree Poem' which I think looks like the trees in the background of the inspiration pic.

I am joining Dawn McVey today as she transforms a card with a fall color scheme to something more suited for the holiday season with her new Blooming Amaryllis stamp set from the October Release. I think both of her cards are gorgeous and the makeover card has one of Dawn's beautiful color combinations, check out the video HERE. 💓

I used the same stamps, Peonies on Parade, but changed up the colors and made my first Christmas card for this season.🎅

Create Along With Us - October 2018

I am always motivated and inspired by the many challenges out there, but have to say this is one of my favorites from PTI!  
You can select a card/project that the amazing Design Team has created during the monthly release and create your own version of that inspiration.  You could use a color scheme, a technique, revisit an older stamp set or ink up a newly purchased one 💓

Amy Sheffer's Card and Envelope

Amy Sheffer's card and envelope is one of the "Pleasing Envelopes" samples that spoke to me ~ as did each of the team's beautiful cards created this month.

I have been making and decorating my card envelopes to give the recipient a hint of what's inside for quite some time now, but, I have to say the entire Design Team really took it up a couple of notches with this beautiful set and I am definitely inspired  😀

I cut my framelet by Sizzix out of musical note paper from 7Gypsies "Journey Collection".   The flower branches and sweet bird are from PTI Spring Woods stamp/die set.

I like the old card design using the Rosie Posie daisy flower so I thought changing up the colors and embellishments a little bit would make a nice Thanksgiving card.

Incorporating Packaging Dies Into Your Cards

I don't make shaker cards often, but this was totally fun and I love the way it turned out. Thanks Lizzie for the great instructions and video~I will definitely leave my (oh so many) sequins out on my desk to use for more shakers in the near future! 😊

I followed the video directions pretty closely here.
Stenciled the background with pale blue ink onto the white panel with a Heidi Swapp flower stencil.  
The Scalloped Framlet is a Sizzix die cut using PTI Stampers Select White cs.
The medium size of three butterflies is cut from PTI Butterfly Cover Plate out of Shimmery Aqua paper (which kinda looks like a bow, maybe). 
All panels are adhered to White card base

Creative With Stamps

Can you believe it is October 1st?  Yikes, this year is flying by ~ hope you are having FUN!  Well, there is one fun thing that happens on the 1st of each new month, Creative With Stamps has a new challenge for you.

For this month's challenge, we are looking for cards with  Halloween or Leaves images.  Easy Peasy, right!
