MIM #112 and Passion for Papertrey

Hoping to improve each time I try a new technique ~ I made another card to enter into these two challenges:

Make It Monday-Embossed Alpha Die Cuts
See Ashley's video HERE

Passion for Papertrey-Lets Get All Touchy Feely
This challenge is all about using texture on your cards~I used the blingy embossed butterfly, the button and twine and the embossing on the letters
Check it out  HERE

My Card ~

Cardstock:  Base card is Stamper's Select White by PTI; True Black by PTI;  the turquoise panel with the big white daisy is from my local supermarket's add that came in the mail. There are several more piece of this coupon flyer you will see in the near future on my cards  ;-)

The alpha letters are stamped with Writing Background by Hero Arts and then  embossed with black embossing powder from Antiquities
NOTE:  When using a heat gun to dry the embossing powder, use something plastic to hold those letters down ~ I used a metal tweezers and burned my fingers 5 times!  Wouldn't ya think I'd learn after the "H" or "E" ?   :^O    I used some Scotch Clear Glue to mount the letter onto the black panel.

The butterfly is from Beautiful Butterflies Die Set by PTI  which I embossed with the Swiss Dots folder by Cuttlebug

Bling, button and twine from Michael's

  1. How clever (and beautiful) to reuse that flower from the ad!

  2. Such a pretty card. I love the way you did your letters. I totally get what you are saying about the heat embossing. I have burned myself many times, too.

  3. How nice of your store to do an ad with paper perfect to use on a card--love it! The button in the flower center is a wonderful touch!
