I stamped the Mason Jar and outline flowers onto acetate.  The water in the jar and flowers are painted on the back just like Betsy instructed in her video.

I fussy cut the PTI Beautiful Butterflies and popped them on top of the acetate.

The PTI Stamper's Select White card base is embossed with the Swiss Dot folder by Cuttlebug.

MAKE IT MONDAY
FAUX STAINED GLASS

Go HERE to watch the talented Miss Betsy create a beautiful card using the faux stained glass technique.

My card has more glimmery shine to it IRL, wish you could see that.  The top green panel is Shimmer card stock and the sheer ribbon has a sheen as well.  The acetate that I stamped my (pink, not red) flower on is actually packaging that I've been 'saving' forever.  The base card stock is PTI's Stamper's Select White and is embossed with a chevron design EF by Lifestyle Crafts (they call it ZigZag).  I tried to stamp the sentiment (PTI's Beautiful Butterflies) directly onto the card withJet Black StazOn ink, but it did not come out well at all ~ thus the black tag stamped with White ink was adhered over the ribbon.

I stamped the Maple leaves with Jet Black StazOn ink onto a piece of acetate, colored them on the back side like Betsy instructed and adhered an orange panel with a window cut from Spellbinder's Nestabilities  Labels Two. Then both panels were attached to Stamper's Select White card base which was embossed with a woodgrain EF. The glittery button and Baker's twine was added to three banners. The gold embossed sentiment from PTI's Boutique Borders: Birthday Stamp Set on the white one.

FAUX STAINED GLASS

I stamped the zinnia flower on a piece of acetate then colored them in.  PTI's Rosie Posie leaves are die cut and adhered to the Rustic Cream base card stock.  A window was cut into the Black card panel with Spellbinders Labels Eight and glued on top of the acetate ... which you can see showing through the side a bit :(
I stamped the sentiment from Fall Elegance in White ink and tied some colorful Ribbon Yarn into a messy bow along the side.

GOLD DIPPED DIE-CUTS
Danielle has a great technique for using die cuts in a different way on MIM this week. The challenge can be seen in her video HERE.  She creates die cuts, dips them in gold and wha-la ~ beautiful creations happen :-)

My gold embossing is on one wing of the Beautiful Butterfly from PTI.

I used a Martha Stewart fine tip glue pen and dipped the wing into my gold embossing powder then dried it with my heat tool.
The Spellbinder's Bird Cage was die cut from gold foil and held in place with a glittery green brad from Target's Dollar Spot.
A Journal Card from We R Memory Keepers was adhered under the largest of  Spellbinder's 'Label Two' frame die cut from PP  by BoBunny.
The sentiment is PTI's Boutique Borders: BIRTHDAY.

GOLD DIPPED DIE-CUTS

Danielle has a great technique for using die cuts in a different way on MIM this week! The challenge can be seen in her video HERE.  She creates die cuts that look as if they've been dipped in gold and has made the prettiest Thanksgiving gift set.

I just made a Thanksgiving Card which ended up looking a bit too busy with the PP behind the stamped panel.  This is an outside photo, but the colors are more muted in real life.  All in all this card appeared quite different in my mind  ;-)

* The gilded leaves and sentiment are from PTI's Fall Elegance set
* Aspen Background birch trees is from a muse studio

MAKE IT MONDAY CHALLENGE
HEAT EMBOSSING OVER DRY EMBOSSING
As usual, I was not thrilled with my first attempt to channel the beautiful artwork of Dawn McVey as seen on the MIM video this week.  Now this is not necessarily a bad thing, because it gives me the opportunity to make the cards for upcoming occasions and Holidays  :-)
I will be sending a few Thanksgiving cards out to family and friends so....

MAKE IT MONDAY CHALLENGE
HEAT EMBOSSING OVER DRY EMBOSSING

Dawn McVey is up this week demonstrating her creative genius once again.  This challenge includes heat and dry embossing ~ love it!!  Check out Dawn's video and her beautiful card HERE.

Not sure if the splotchy flower and leaves are due to the old embossing ink that I need to replace (and keep forgetting to buy)
or the Tim Holtz Distress Powder which I think is supposed to look like this (?)  Also, the white embossing on Kraft looked prettier than this...in my head.
