I was not sure I was creating this card with the technique Betsy shows in the video  until I colored in the white space on the HELLO die cut out of the flower bouquet image.
I like how it turned out and will try this again

PTI-Transformation Tuesday #6

Transformation Tuesday Challenge #6

I am joining in the Transformation Tuesday challenge over at PTI with Stephanie Gold. You can see her video and pretty cards HERE

My original card's bold colors seemed more masculine than intended.

This re-do in light pastels with added sequins are more my style and definitely more feminine for a note card to a BFF 😊

Stamp:  Teacup is from vintage 1995 Stampin' Up set called        "Teacup & Pansies" I have acquired 3 of the 4 stamps in this set through garage sales and thrift stores, this pretty china cup has been used many many times for my cards over the years.

Dies:  PTI's Gran's Garden
(leaves~covering an "oops" that occurred after I finished the entire card~~these leaves somewhat resemble the Camellia sinensis, one of the plant varieties tea leaves are actually picked from 😊)
and Birthday Cheer (I cut the 'Make a Wish' die to use just the 'wish'); Wonky Stitch Frame is from an online company and don't have a name

Cardstock:   PTI Stamper's Select White; Recollection's Ice Blue

Markers:  Spectrum Noir; Gold glitter pen

PTI-Transformation Tuesday #5

Transformation Tuesday Challenge #5

I am joining in the Transformation Tuesday challenge over at PTI with Michelle Leone. You can see her video and gorgeous cards HERE.

This is my do-over  card, which used the same Beautiful Butterflies die set as my original, but the colors are much more pastel for a Sympathy card the original was intended for.  I used the Butterfly EF instead of the Script EF, plus I didn't stamp on the butterfly die, I used a piece of scrap PP. 😊

I think I used watercolor paints for the background, then splattered something (?) to make those splotches on this original ~ Tim Holtz Distress Stains were used on the transformed card.

This is my do-over  card, which used the same Peonies on Parade stamps/die set as my original, but the colors on this are much more cheerful and I added some sequins (which I may have over done 😁)  instead of the silver thread.

Sorry for the photo~it was taken inside.

That pretty floral stamp and die is from an Altenew set called "Beautiful Day".
The Die in the background is from Sizzix Thinlets from Tim Holtz collection.
The inks are pretty much all from ColorBox and there is a touch of Wink of Stella on the lovely flower.
