I used the same Shape Shifters: Oval 3 die, but changed the color combo and two embossing folders (two love birds and woodgrain)
to make an Anniversary card out of my original Birthday card.
...oh, just noticed I forgot to add those sweet little pearls, which may end up being gold flecks instead to imitate the gold dots in the patterned paper from Recollections 'Cherry Blossoms' paper pad.

I had a few crafty things on my desk from cards I made this week, so put together my take on this challenge by taking "Say It Simply: Lovely Birthday" and cutting the words from four different colors.
The pretty patterned panel with gold foil dots behind the sweet flowers is from DCWV 'Pocket Blossom' paper pack adhered to the Blush Pink base cardstock. Butterflies are from Martha Stewart Crafts and the birdie is from my 3D sticker stash.

Brought out an old favorite Stamp and die set, "Rosie Posie" for the pink and blue flowers and a new Say It Simply: Lovely Birthday die to create my card from the beautiful inspiration photo below.  The strip of patterned paper is from Studio Calico and the embossing folder is from LifeStyle Crafts.

MAKE IT MONDAY 

Winter Watercolor

I am joining Ashley as she shares ways to design winter watercolor cards. If you want to see her beautiful Winter cards and watch the video, go HERE
I don't have the pretty tree stamp sets Ashley used to make her lovely wintery scene, but I thought this little Pine Tree would do nicely with her water coloring technique 😉

Using watercolor paper makes this process easy peasy and I am planning to make an underwater scene next with the additional background panels I made.
The Trees were stamped off a bit for the background forest effect as Ashley shows us and the shadows under the trees are supposed to look like snow drifts.  I used a white pen to highlight some branches and added Frosted Lace Stickles for my snow.
The sentiment is from PTI Beautiful Butterflies.

PTI Shape Shifters Oval 3, Beautiful Butterflies and Butterflies Layers were die cut out of pastel c/s scraps.

It was fun looking back at the 2018 MIM challenges and creating this card reminded me I should go back from time to time when making cards in different colors, stamps and dies can be either feminine or masculine. I may redo this technique for few more cards. 💓
