Heading toward 350 entries today, I am posting another card and have commented on over 200 of these fabulous Coffee Lovers projects so far.  You can check it all out HERE.

 Day 4 ~ Card 4
Using another oldie but goodie block stamp called "Butterfly Tea Cup" by Impression Obsession. which I outlined in gold and colored in the flowers, butterfly and cookies with Watercolor Pencils.

It was fussy cut and popped up with double sided tape onto vellum which is softening the leaves I gold embossed then used acryllic paint to color on white cardstock.  The tea bag tag has gold twine attached and a wood veneer heart finishes it off.  The three panels are adhered to lemon yellow card base.

This is an old

I still love it and use it for get well or thinking of you cards.
The leaves are a 3-in-1 punch from EKSuccess.
I die cut Spellbinders "Labels Twenty-Three" to create the window in the base card.

Added the wood veneer hearts and arrow leading my Aunt to a get well message on the inside.  The Tim Holtz EF, 'Retro Circles' is embossed onto the base card.

I had fun creating the chalkboard, haven't done that in a while.  Picked up on the beautiful Fall colors for my Butterflies and added some gold thread nested under each one on this Thank You note card.  Embossed the sentiment and butterfly layers with White Embossing Power onto a Black card panel, which is popped it onto Rustic Orange and then onto White Stamper's Select card base.

MIM 224

MAKE IT MONDAY CHALLENGE #224
TWO-TONED STAMPED SENTIMENTS

Danielle Flanders is up this week, showing us how to create a two-toned sentiment effect with stamps and dies.  Watch her video HERE  to see her tips for this clever technique.  Love Danielle's Fabulous card!  Plus, I never tried this before, so I  was up for the challenge and think  my card can be either masculine or feminine :-)

The "happy birthday" sentiment was embossed with white embossing power onto black cardstock, then in charcoal onto the white base card.  A strip of musical notes Washi Tape was attached to the side holding the black strips on. All of the dies are from PTI Song Birds.

Create Along-Sep 2015

 SEPTEMBER 2015

This challenge over at Papertrey Ink allows us to select something that the amazing Design Team has created during the release that we find inspiring and then we can create our own version by using  a color scheme, technique or an older PTI set.  Pretty cool, huh?

Nichol's card that I selected to CASE
Here's my card.
I created the wreath with the leaves from "Song Bird" dies and the sentiment is from an old set "Fall Elegance",  that I still love to use for cards this time of year.

NBUS #5-card 3

NBUS CHALLENGE #5

Wow, have you been by to visit Darnell's Blog yet?  A couple of hundred crafty folks have entered her NBUS challenge so far and there are 5 more days to go! And here I was thinking I was the only one with a ton (seriously, there's a ton!) of never before used schtuff  ;-)

I am entering my final card here but promise to keep on using my way-too-long-hoarded goodies on a regular basis. Thanks for the shove in that direction with you awesome challenges, Darnell.

 NBUS:
  • I love Paris stamp by Stampendous
  • Corner Punch on black cardstock
  •  110# Black Cardstock
I have been wanting this stamp for a long time, but didn't want to pay the $14.95 price tag. So when I saw it at our 'new' local Michael's for $3.49 (not sure why they had it on clearance?) I gleefully snapped it up.
This card is going to friends who are taking a Cruise through France.

PS:  Quite honestly, I'm not sure what else I would use this stamp for, so if you know of anyone going to Paris ...
:-D

MAKE IT MONDAY

Camouflaged Pocket Inserts

This week, Dawn shows us how to create camouflaged pocket inserts to tuck inside super easy pockets for our cards!
Watch her video on this design technique HERE

I think I need to practice a little more to capture this design that Dawn has so beautifully captured.  I never tire of my Song Birds stamps /dies (can you tell ;-),  so maybe I will try this again using different colors and patterns.
.
Here is a picture of the panel pulled out of the "pocket" I made using some neglected Journaling Tags.  Can you see the gold thread nested under the bird?
