Create Along With Us - December 2018

I am always motivated and inspired by the many challenges out there, but have to say this is one of my favorites from PTI!  
You can select a card/project that the amazing Design Team has created during the monthly release and create your own version of that inspiration project.  You could use a color scheme, a technique, revisit an older stamp set or ink up a newly purchased on.

I love how Melissa Phillips can add layers on top of layers and her cards look absolutely gorgeous.  I tried to duplicate her cards HERE, but think I need to practice this technique a bit more to come close to her beautiful artwork 💝

     Sorry about the distorted colors on my card, it's dark outside and I had to take this photo indoors~I will try to re-take this in the morning.  
     I was inspired by Melissa Phillips  beautiful tags and cards on Day 4 of the November Release, which you can see on her Blog (click on her name). The stamps and dies she used to create her lovely projects is "Home To Roost".  I had to substitute my Song Birds and a hand drawn cut out of a bird house.  I die cut the leaves out of cream colored vellum and the purple flowers are a die from Darice.
    This card will go out to dear friends who just bought a new home.

Amy Sheffer's Card and Envelope

Amy Sheffer's card and envelope is one of the "Pleasing Envelopes" samples that spoke to me ~ as did each of the team's beautiful cards created this month.

I have been making and decorating my card envelopes to give the recipient a hint of what's inside for quite some time now, but, I have to say the entire Design Team really took it up a couple of notches with this beautiful set and I am definitely inspired  😀

These love birds are going to congratulate a couple of friends who just got engaged.  
The colors are a bit closer to Melissa's in real life and I forgot the ribbon, but since this is going to be mailed, I will leave the bow off.

Don't you just love the new Vogue Vases?  I was inspired by one of Betsy's cards and used two of the vases from Cherry Lynn that I have and the Flowers are from PTI Brushed Blooms.  The embossed frame on Stamper's Select White c/s is from Cuttlebug.

So happy Papertrey Ink is continuing their amazing challenges.  

Melissa's inspirational card

There are so many lovely creations, it's hard to choose just one for the challenge.   But, Melissa has inspired me with this beautiful card which I chose to CASE. 

Melissa is really the master of layering and her cards are always so gorgeous.  I tried to add some of the same elements on my card. 
My balloon dies are smaller so I used 5 instead of 3 and added a couple more sequins. :-)  
The corner bubble die plate is from Sizzix cut onto  PTI Stamper's Select White card stock.  I sponged some pastel colors along the edges and added PTI's Swoosh 'happy' stamp to  one of the Birthday Trio dies as my sentiment.
