MIM #78 Stamping & Stitching on Die Cuts

Here I am on Wednesday (not Sunday!) posting a card to Make It Monday #78.  Heather Nichols shows her expertise in stitching on her card in this video HERE

I was instantly reminded of a free download from PTI and this whimsical design by Becky Oehlers.  It already had the stitch-lines on it, so all I had to do was follow Heather's instructions with floss, back-stitching  on the "hill" of the image. It took me a bit of time and I thought half way down this hill, "Why didn't I punch out every two holes instead of every other hole?"
Oh well, it probably looks better this way and I was pretty happy I didn't run out of thread which I cut too short ~ it was a close!  :o)

See my stitches on the hill? :o)
 My card ~
Cardstock:  Base card & panel with image is Stampers Select White by PTI; Orangy background panel and Green glitter PP are from DCWV - Citrus Stack
Coloring:  images colored with TomBow marker pens; Crystal glitter from Stickle; used Chalks to make the blue sky
Tools & Embellishments:  Birds & Swirls embossing folder from Cuttlebug: Corner Rounder from EKSuccess; Grossgrain ribbon  from Michaels; Floss from Hancock Fabrics

MFW - Tuesday Trigger Type Hype

Moxie Fab World has another fun Tuesday Trigger Challenge -  Type Hype that gets an  "a"  from me!      :o)

Isn't the inspiration photo of this old-timer just the cutest?
Ahhh, no, not talking about my Blog pic over there in the corner!

I don't have any of those cute typewriter stamps like I've seen out there, don't have any great patterned papers with typewriters (that I can readily put my fingers on) either, but I did find a Rub-Ons from Studio Calico which is from a Moxie Fab prize package I won a while back ~ thank you, Cath!  I think it works (?).  It isn't black and it isn't red..it's kinda orangey-redish though, so  I just added the inspiration photo colors in other ways.

My Card ~ click on the photo for more details

The typewritten note sticking out is from my sweet blog friend  Karin Akesdotter, who has a whole page of these little gems you can download from her Blog HERE    Karin's card in this challenge is #4 ~ now isn't that the coolest?

Cardstock:  Base card White Stamper's Select and True Black is  from PTI;  Glitter Red from DCWV Glitter Stack

Embellishments:  Yellow polka dots 'washi tape' from Target;  Typewriter & Alpha letters are Studio Calico Rub-Ons;
Twill Tape from Simplicity
Tools: Labels Eight die from Nestabilities; corner rounder from EKSuccess

Thank you for stopping by and especially for taking the time to comment ~ You all really mean so much to me :)

MIM #76 - card #3

Edited to add:
Anyone who has visited my Blog more than once, knows I just can't leave  well enough alone...
I thought this card needed one (or two) more things  ;)
I added the lavender bling next to "Hello" and Crystal colored Stickles to the flowers on the stamped image.
It's not much of a change and probably no one else would even notice,  but made me happy to add just n that little extra somethin',  ya know?

Wanted to add one more bleach-technique card to MIM #76

I needed a quick "Hello" thinking of you card tonight and thought, why not try one more bleaching technique card? :o)

PTI products used:
Stamper's Select White for the basecard
PTI's 5th Anniversary free download - this one is Maile Belles design

I used the negative die from Nestabilities "Labels Eight" to frame the lavender card stock which is stamped with Stampendous "Branch Flight" in bleach.  Maille's  hello tag is colored in with TomBow markers and cut out with my Fiscar's 2" Round punch.
The butterflies are 3D stickers from Special Moments

MIM #76 - Bleach Stamping Technique

Well I thought I would make another card for MIM #76 - Double Time Bleach Stamping because, I didn't get enough bleach on me the first time :o).  Actually I wanted to try the 'flicking' of the bleach and as you can see, I overdid it a bit...LOL
I tried using different colored cardstock for this bleaching technique, but the Melon worked the best so....here it is.

My Card ~ click on the photo for more details...

Cardstock:  card base is Kraft, panels are Melon, Burgundy; the bicycle is stamped on the back of the striped cardstock from g.c.d. studios 'Loverly'  PP collection
Stamps:  Leaves from Fall Elegance by PTI; sentiment from Unity  'Following my Heart'; old time bicycle from Michaels (not sure of the company name). I stamped it on the card then again on pp, cut it out and popped it off the melon panel with mounting tape  for a little dimension
Inks:  Sepia from  Archival; Burgundy from Studio g; bleach from Clorox
Embellishments:  bling from my stash
