The funny Bones "Procaffinating definition" is a fun stamp I won from the oh-so-crafty Maura Hibbits in the Coffee Lovers-Fall 2015 Blog Hop. There was a Starbucks GC  and some awesome dyed seam binding also included (YAY)

I made another card with this sweet stamp "Coffee Break" from
Lili of the Valley.  I will mail this off to my friend in MA ~
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with her for several days last week.  It has been a 35 year friendship and we both know all the 'secrets' of each other's lives ;-)

This is another card made with UNIKO's "I LOVE Tea" stamp set.  The large tea cup is so fun to color in and fussy cut.
The pretty Doily is from a restaurant I visited last night which was on the saucer of a cup of soup.  I asked if I could have a few that were not stained with my soup spills ;-)
The gold embossed leaves dies from Darice are cut from a gold box which had chocolates in it at one time...happy I saved it!

Coffee Lovers BlogHop-Fall '16

I am so happy to be joining in the Fall CLBH!
I am a little late coming to the party because I was on vacation and just arrived home this evening.  Soooo, I have a lot of catching up to do.  I had WIFI on the plane and was thankfully able to start commenting on the fabulous entries, but had to hit the craft room and make some cards to enter.  Have you seen the Super Sponsors for this Hop?  Oh my, they are amazing!
This is such a fun Blog Hop...one that card makers from all over the world want to be a part of.
A huge THANK YOU to Amy Tsuruta and Team for all of the hard work that goes into these amazing hops!

MIM #260

  MAKE IT MONDAY

From Black and White to Color

Oh my, we get some fabulous tips from the wonderful Miss Danielle Flanders as she demonstrates a really cool technique to pop your black and white stamped backgrounds with a colorful focal point, that lines up with the original background images!
You can check out her beautiful card and video HERE.

I thought this was a really pretty look for cards and have done this with those popular coloring book pages that are out now.

My Card ~
I watercolored Peonies On Parade and tied some silver thread around the sliced card stock to accentuate the black and white stamped portion. Popped the white panel onto a Raspberry Pink card base.

NBUS used:
  • The House Mouse stamp "Pop-ular Fun" is a wood block stamp that was tucked away with my (almost forgotten) other HM stamps.    I colored in this "Pop-ular Fun" image with my Spectrum Noir markers and die cut it with Spellbinders Label Eight Frames.
  • The sentiment was stamped onto a smaller Frame that I don't believe I've used in .... ever (?)
  •  I opened the package of Purple 2-sided embossed cardstock for the first time too.
