NBUS Challenge #12

This is another card for Darnell's challenge.  You can find a whole lotta inspiration to use some of your new or neglected stamp/craft supplies HEREDarnell always gets a great number of folks to post their cards and she participates with a onefer, twofer or threefer herself each day for added fun and mojo!
The Playhouse is also a great place to visit so you don't feel totally alone atop your own personal Mt. NBUS! 😏

I've had this pretty Daisy stamp-set from Stampendous for a couple of years and was messing around trying to perfect my water-coloring skills. After watching a few artists on You Tube videos, I pulled out my  Prismacolor Premier Watercolor pencils (at least 3/4 of the box is NBUS) and this card is the result.
Okay...no judging pleeeze!

Click on photo for more details on my card

NBUS:
1.  140# Watercolor Paper (love the heavy weight)
2.  "Daisy Thanks" stamp
3.   Prismacolor pencils~can't remember when I used them,  if everπŸ˜•

*If my card is a lucky winner, I would love a GC
or
the PTI Holiday Greens stamp/die set
But, truth be told, any of the giveaways would be FABULOUS to win!

NBUS Challenge #12

Holy Moly!  I can't believe Darnell has been hosting her NBUS challenges for four years now!  She is on Challenge #12 and I believe I had entries for just about all of them~and I must admit, have not even put a dent in Mt. NBUS here in my craft room.

Go HERE to read her guidlines, head to your NBUS pile of craft goodies, enter and Whallah--Bing Bang Done!
She is also so generously giving out a bunch of amazing *gifties.

Darnell has such a fun Blog, you won't want to leave the Playhouse.
But, you should leave and get out of her way so she can create and inspire us again tomorrow!  :-)

My Card ~

NBUS used:
1. The strippy green embossed paper (grass) from a 12X12 pad by Craft Smith
2. The matching color (blue + orange) bling on the bicycle spokes

3. That cute kite from a pack bought at Michael's years ago. Apparently I had to have these adorable patterned paper kites in different colors ... I have 2 packages. LOL
 4. Those Bicycle dies from Impression Obsession haven't been used in quite some time AND definitely not in blue or orange. :-)

*If my card is a lucky winner, I would love a GC
   or
the PTI Holiday Greens stamp/die set
But, truth be told, any of the giveaways would be FABULOUS to win!

You are so sweet to host these challenges, Darnell~it's a lotta work, THANK YOUHOOO!

MIM #297

 MAKE IT MONDAY

Mixing Florals

This week, Dawn is up on  Make It Monday  mixing things up with images from multiple floral stamp sets.  Check out her MIM video, to see her beautiful card and her tips on how to achieve a cohesive look when using images from different stamp sets.

I just love Dawn's sense of color and design, so it's always fun to 'try' (the operative word here Peeps) to emulate  her gorgeous card designs πŸ’—

The Florals I used are from PTI's Rosie Posie, Peonies on Parade, Tulip Time sets. Stampin' Up's vintage 1997 eucalyptus plant stamp that I picked up in a thrift store.

I really like how this came together but haven't put an occasion to it yet ~ it has several possibilities in my mind. 😊

Coffee Lovers BlogHopFall '17

Hey there Coffee, Tea, Cocoa Lovers in Blogland!  I am so very happy to have my (slow/limited) Internet back as of this morning!  AND, in time to join in the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! 😊
Irma, the totally 'un-welcomed guest' of Florida last week, created such havoc and devastation across the entire state.  I feel very, VERY fortunate my home had minimal damage (all fixable) and no flooding here on the Island.  The tornado warnings were nerve wracking to say the least. We were SO lucky and truly Blessed!   My electricity, water, landline and internet were out for a few days, but there are still folks in my County (towns right next to me) that do not have their power up and running as of today(!) The news reports are saying total restoration will be completed by Tuesday.
I want to thank you for your concern, comments and well wishes!
Hope to get by your blogs for visit soon.  πŸ’—Hugs, Helen

Here's my first card:
I used the Jillian Vance Design Grandpa's Cup die that I won from the Summer 2017 Hop~Thank you, Jillian!

Not quite as elegant as Betsy's card...I used the limbs and the birds from "Nesting" to create my first Christmas card.  Love the white glitter for snow even though it's all over my craft room desk!
