PTI March Release-Day 5

The Challenge today ~ Day 5 ~
Transform a card you are not happy with into something beautiful. We all have those projects that don't quite turn out like we pictured it.  Apply the tips you have learned this week to one of your rejects.

My card is a remake for the PTI Multiples Challenge.
Sorry for the night time inside photos and for the color distortion.
My re-do card is on pale orchid cardstock base.  :-(
The original-attempt card was tossed in my recycle bin ~ enuf said!

PTI March Release-Day 4

Day 4 of the March Release brings us one of the most magical things about spring ~ the return of the birds! Nichole has created a  template for making a very sweet little bird house, so that we can assemble and alter the bird house to make it our own.

The Challenge ~ Build a Bird House
Create and decorate a bird house using the provided template.

My Card ~
I made the birdhouse out of white cardstock, the roof was embossed with a woodgrain EF on Kraft c/s.
Had to cut down the Picket Fence die to fit in front of the birdhouse.
Leaves and Birds are from Song Birds set.
Flowers are cut from a Darice border die.

PTI March Release-Day 3

Day 3 of the March Release brings us lots of Springtime flowers.

The Challenge-Favorite Florals ~
Dig out your very favorite floral set and create an all new project! Use a fresh spring color scheme, maybe inspired by one of today's projects. Create a true spring masterpiece putting your favorite floral set to work!
I don't have to dig too deep~all of my Flowering stamp sets
are on my desk top 😊

My Card ~
Stamps/Dies:  Peonies on Parade.
Patterned Paper:  Recollections 6X6 pad of Christmas papers

I just bought a set of Spectrum Noir Sparkle brush pens and had to use them on these flowers.  The glitter is amazing IRL, wish I could have captured it on the photo.

This card took way longer than I thought (in my mind) that it should have :-{  But, I am happy with how it turned out.

PTI March Release-Day 2

Day 2 of the March Release brings us the new Multiply dies.  These small shapes will create some fun card making!

The Challenge ~ Multiply
Create a new project that incorporates multiples of a single shape, stamped or die-cut.  Find some kind of shape, large or small to repeat on a project.  Play with arrangements and color combinations. Be sure to use a minimum of three repeating shapes remembering an odd number of them for best visual appeal.

My Card ~
The dies are all from Song Birds.  My multiples are one of the flowers in this set.  I tried to copy the colors on the bird as closely as I could to create the 5 flowers on the bottom.
This Congrats card is going to my cousin who just bought a new home :-)

Okay, my head is spinning (more than usual) with ideas for this FUN challenge.  ;-)

Day 4 ~ Create Along With Us-February

Instead of Make It Monday, PTI hosts "Create Along With Us" challenge during  Release months.  Nichole allows us to select something amazing that she or the Design Team has created during the February Release that we find inspiring.  We can then CASE a project using one of their color schemes, techniques or design with an older PTI set.  There is no shortage of inspiration especially this month ~ the Release combined with the 9th Anniversary.
Pretty cool, eh?

I really like this card using What The Doodle stamps/dies that Lizzie Jones created here:

Day 2 -  Select a piece of clothing for inspiration

Today's challenge is in honor of Betsy's new Dress Up Dolls, we can go through our closet, an online or store ad and select a piece of clothing to use as inspiration for a project.
Well,  this is fun ~ not only do we get to choose our fave piece to create off of, but we get to peek inside the closets of those who share a photo of theirs  ;-)

This top from my closet is my inspiration:
It's from Beall's (a Florida store) embellished with gold studs and bling in the two palm trees

 My card ~
This is for a friend who just bought a house and moved here from WI.
I used gold glitter embossing power on the Palm Trees and adhered a turquoise panel to PTI's Stamper's Select White card base and die cut the Swoosh congrats glued on top.

First I took 6 shades of blue inks and ombred up a piece of Stamper's Select White cardstock.  I used the Zebra embossing folder from The Paper Studio to add texture, then die cut three white Beautiful Butterflies and added a different EF to them.  There is a panel of my darkest blue cardstock underneath and adhered all to the White base card.  The sentiment is from Embellishments stamp set.

PTI- 8th Anniversary-Day 5

PAPERTREY INK - 8TH ANNIVERSARY
DAY 5:  SPRING INTO ACTION

Today's post is all about Spring, so the challenge is to "spring" into action by inking up a set that has yet to see ink or pull out a set that hasn't been used nearly enough.
I actually had one PTI stamp set that has a couple of  'unused' stamps in it (gasp)!

Click on photo for more details
I inked up a few stamps from PTI Embellishments set with White ink onto Chocolate Chip  cardstock to create a paisley background. Stamped a different stamp from this set in Honey ink on Stamper's Select White, cut out and adhered then both with Double sided tape, added a satin sheen brown ribbon bow and the brown panel is slanted on top of the White base card.

DAY 4:  BUILD A BOUQUET

Today's Challenge is to grab a few favorite floral stamp sets and "build" a bouquet on a card cover.  Combine flowers from two, three or even four stamp sets for a really unique, colorful look.
Click on photo for more details
I used three different floral stamp sets on my card.  Stamping Hibiscus flowers on Stamper's Select White card stock, colored them with Prismacolor Pencils to obtain a watercolor look by using a paint brush then cut a piece of vellum paper to mute the colors even more.  Adhered the Rosie Posie stamp set dies on top of the vellum panel with Pop up dots for some dimension.  The Base card is embossed with polka dots ~ although I could have used a flower EF there too ~ slapped my forehead  ;-)
