MIM #128

Love making my own backgrounds with those small stamps you get with sets ~ especially Papertrey Ink sets :)  Ashley has demonstrated in this VIDEO, how easy it is to Stamp Random Background Patterns on your projects.
I have to admit, it's not quite as easy for me, but still a fun technique.  So here is another card I am entering in the Make It Monday Challenge

I used the negative die from Spellbinders' Labels Eight and stamped the sentiment onto yellow cardstock to show through.  The Leaves around the silk flower are from Spellbinders' Foliage Two.

MIM #128 and PFP

There is a great new Make It Monday Challenge this week.
Ashley has put together a video on how to make "Random Background Patterns".  Now this one I found fun and easy to do... NOT as 10-minute-easy as Ashley's card  ~ more like 2 hours, but still ...

PTI Products used ~
Cardstock:  Stampers Select White
Stamps/Dies:  Beautiful Butterflies; Spiral Bouquet; Rosie Posie

I used  three small stamps for the background in three different colored inks.  The Butterflies were die cut from glitter paper.  The Ribbon Banner die is from Spellbinders. There is also a Spellbinders Impressabilities embossed "Pebbles" background on the sage card base which is from Cardstock Warehouse Paper Co.

I am also entering this card in A Passion for Papertrey's ~
Use Three Embellishments Challenge

My three embellishments:  Ribbon, gold twine, button
and I think you could add the dies as embellies also :)

MIM-Double Backgrounds

This note card is the result of trying Make It Monday's Challenge (again).  I struggled with several 'double backgrounds' and found the Polka Dots and Script Writing were the best (of a whole bunch of misses) to work for me.  I am frantically making cards for all the 'occasions' coming up in August plus a few thank you notes from my recent trip.  Hopefully I can join in a few challenges at the same time :)

I outlined a space on the envelope with the washi tape so I could add the address.  I am mailing this one, so the envie doesn't have any pop ups ~ I used the 'masking' technique with the flowers again here.
