MAKE IT MONDAY

Above and Below

Lizzie is up on MIM this week sharing a simple design technique that highlights a sentiment and makes it the center of attention. You can see her video and beautiful card HERE.

My Card ~
I die cut and stamped Brushed Blooms in purples, yellows and blues and surrounded (above and below) my sentiment which is  stamped onto a wonky stitched frame. I used a Sizzix embossing folder of large leaves to create a background panel then adhered all these layers onto Stamper's Select White card base. 

Thanks Lizzie for the tip on adding darker color to the edges of your flowers and leaf images to add depth and interest~ Love how this turned out! 😁

Create Along With Us - May 2018

I am always motivated and inspired by the many challenges out there, but have to say this is one of my favorites from PTI!  
You can select a card/project that the amazing Design Team has created during the monthly release that has inspired you, and create your own version.  You could use a color scheme, a technique, revisit an older stamp set or ink up a newly purchased one 💓

Stamps:  PTI's Boutique Borders: Birthday, Peonies on Parade

The Raspberry base cardstock is embossed with a basket weave EF from Darice.  My masked sentiment is inked in Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and my Peonies are colored with Spectrum Noir  markers, the glower centers are glimmering with SN Glitters pens.  Bling from my stash

My Card -

Stamps:  Butterfly is from Parked On Rubber (a vintage wood block stamp). Small blooms are from Peonies on Parade and the leave dies are Branching Out from PTI 

Creative With Stamps

Here we are again, it's May1st and Creative With Stamps has a new challenge for you.

For this month's challenge, we are looking for cards created with Mothers in mind.  Sadly, my mom and mother-in-law are no longer with me, but I know some incredible mothers who deserve recognition for all they have accomplished.

The sweet stamp and sentiment are from Unity which I colored in with my Copic Markers.  
Those pretty patterned papers are from a 12X12 pak from Craft Smith called 'Serenity'.  
The Wonky Stitch Frame is from an online company.
