PTI Blog Hop-Feb 2017

The PTI February Blog Hop inspiration photo is full of  rich, deep hues and pops of gold metallics.  I spy a couple of heirloom diamonds in here too.  The colors include pinks, purples, yellow, splashes of red and orange. We are challenged to create outside our comfort zone...I think this month mission accomplished 😏

Celebrating 2016

Nicole's Challenge:
The design team has shown us sample cards of Past and Present and now it's time for the Future of these sets, which is all up to YOU!
-Do you already own any of the five sets that were highlighted today? Time to dust it off and make an all new project using it!
-Don't own any of today's showcased sets? Draw inspiration from any of the projects highlighted in today's post and adapt a Papertrey set that you already own.

 My Card ~
I had to create with Tulip Time and a Butterfly embossing folder split to show off the lovely sentiment.  I didn't CASE anyone, but there are some gorgeous Design Team/Customer cards that I am inspired by and definitely will  check them out at another time 😉

I don't know about you, but I have added soooo many more stamps and dies to my Wish List from all trips back in time checking out all of the amazing sample and posted cards! 💖

Go HERE to see the 2016 entries.

I thought I would CASE Laura Bassen this  time.  Her Sweet card features one of the five sets highlighted, Baker's Dozen.  That one is on my Wish List 😊   Check out Laura's card HERE.
I used my  Cake Plate and By The Numbers dies to create a fun birthday card for my Niece Olivia...can't believe she is 14 this year!💗

My Card~
I just had to make a card with my all time favorite stamp/die set for 2014......yup......Song Birds!
I tried to make the background with ink splats on glossy paper like Debbie Olson did HERE, but that failed miserably   :-(
Sooooo, I went with a blue and green ink splatter instead.  I will definitely try Debbie's technique at another time, it really look cool.

My Card ~
Nicole inspired this one.  Her beautiful card paired two stamp sets: Embroidered Blooms and the sentiment from With All My Heart from 2012 which you can see HERE.
I tried to CASE Nichol's lovely colors and created my card by inking up Beautiful Butterflies released this year.  The flourishes are from Embellishments.
