Nicole Heady is revisiting an old technique with a bit of a fresh twist as shown in her video HERE
She takes this technique a step further and stamps over
the bleached areas with color.
I have never tried stamping with bleach, but it looked interesting, so I thought I would give it a try. I'm kinda liking this method and you may see me again ;o)
My Card ~ click on the photo for a more detailed look
Cardstock: Base card is Kraft, Melon panel is Wausau; stripe is from g.c.d. studios Loverly collection pack
Stamps: PTI's Fancy Flourishes in bleach; Martha Stewart Carmelia flowers in bleach first then inked with Terra Cotta from Ranger
Tools & Embellishments: Corner Rounder from EK Success; bling from Crystal Stickers at Michaels

PTI - JULY BLOG HOP
PTI has supplied this gorgeous inspiration photo for the July Blog Hop.
The challenge is all about pairing up these beautiful citrusy, summer colors with some pretty floral images to create the perfect project that embodies everything summer.
My Card - click on the photo for more details
PTI products used:
White Stamper's Select cardstock and Banner Borders dies
I stamped my daisy image (Inkadinkado) in embossing ink then heated with white powder onto colored cardstock. Then I fussy cut each flower. The leaves are felt (from Martha Stewart) and maybe a bit too dark green for all these pastely colors (?) The Banner Border die is cut from a glittery card stock pack from DCWV. The satin ribbon is from Michael's.
Didn't add a sentiment, cause I am not sure who/what this one is destined for yet. I really like how the pastel colors look together and luckily stamped/embossed a couple of the flowers to make another similar card for another time * ;o)
* those of you who know me, realize I never do this...have to re-invent the wheel with each and every card I make ~ sooooo annoying am I.
I'm off to check out all of the "real talent" now ...

Re-Do's
I wanted to show the couple of little changes I made on these two cards. I am always tweaking my cards that get posted cause I am in a hurry to post them and NOT usually happy with what they look like :o)
Can you see what is different? Check out my original post HERE
This one has some changes too. See my original post HERE
I am so impressed with myself ~ being able to figure out this "link" thingy on my Blog it is such an accomplishment for me ... you have no idea how lost I am around anything technical :-o
I can almost hear my DH's exasperating sighs when he tried to explain techy things to me.

PTI - Stamp a faire - Ribbon Technique
OK, my card was the very last post of PTI's Stamp-a-faire - Ribbon Technique challenge~wish there was a prize for that cause I would be a winner every time!
I used Melissa Phillips first technique as shown in her video HERE. Isn't she just the sweetest?
My blue flowers came out a little darker than the Blue Plumbego bush outside my craft room window, but I couldn't find that color ink in my rush to finish this card ~ next one will be better and of course, I've already tweaked this card a bit, I will add the "new" revised card photo tomorrow :*)
I wish I had more time to play this weekend, but, other commitments got in my way of my crafting time.
Geez, I hate when that happens. :(
There were so many techniques and how-to-videos by Nicole and the Design Team that I had not tried before in creating cards. I will be going back again and again to try my hand at most of these.
A HUGE thank you to everyone at PTI for all of your hard work putting this entire program together!!

MIM #75 and MFW- Stamp It Cards Week
Happy Sunday! I am frantically trying to get some cards finished that HAVE to be mailed early this week (of course!).
I am entering this B-Day card in two challenges:
Make It Monday #75 Roll the Die Challenge was just THAT ~a real challenge for me. Just finding and pulling everything out to write on the list was pretty time consuming cause we had 6 choices in most of the categories on Erin Lincoln's Download Sheet which she provides. We were to fill it out and use a game die to determine what products we were to use for our project. Here is my outcome:
- Horizontal Orientation
- Layout #2
- Fancy Flourishes Stamp set
- Party Cupcakes Sentiments
- Color Combo: Aqua Mist, Ripe Avocado, Raspberry Fizz, Sweet Blush, Harvest Gold, (I used PTI's Polka Dot Parade pp to cut out the flowers and I think I covered all those colors :^)
- Embellishment: Buttons
Moxie Fab World - Stamp It Cards Cath has 5 challenges going on which started last month and ends today!!
My card is for "The Birthday Card" Challenge.
PTI products used:
Flower punches - Polka Dot Parade Patterned Paper
Stamps: Fancy Flourishes on the bottom to look like water :)

Stamp-A-Faire - Make & Take
I am too late to add my card to PTI's Stamp-A-Faire First challenge :(
But I think we have until Monday 7/23 at noon time to post to the others ~
The first one of the day was the "Morning Make & Take", to get things rolling at 7 AM. Nicole's card is gorgeous (of course) and her video is excellent. Your can download instruction sheets for each challenge and the Design Team has created fabulous videos throughout the day showing their techniques and the projects they created. Sooo much to learn from these talented ladies!
Check it out on Nicole Heady's Blog Capture The Moment.
Anywho, I am posting this card just cause I like the way it came out and definitely need to replenish my Birthday card supply :)

MIM #74-Stamping on Texture
This week's Make It Monday features Heather Nichols showing us a technique that I have not used before, but plan to use again and again. I really like how this changes the look of embossed images :)
I needed a masculine card for my friend's husband who is dealing with some health issues. I think this does the trick.
My Card ~
Cardstock: base card and birdcages stamped on Stamper's Select White from PTI; Kraft and shadow blue tags and orange stars CS are from Michael's
Stamps: Writing Background from Hero Arts stamped onto embossed tag; Birdcage from Studio G, sentiment printed on my computer
Tools & Embellishments: Birds and Swirls embossing folder from Cuttlebug; Banner Borders die from PTI; brown and white twine, flower brad and natural hemp from AC Moore
Thanks for stopping by :o)
