Make It Monday - Overlapping Ombre Challenge. Watch Nicole's video HERE and check out three awesome cards she creates.
I don't use this ombre technique enough :)
It really creates a pretty effect.

I overlapped three different ink colors onto white cardstock  to create my ombre effect, then I die cut the butterfly.

MFW-TT

Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger - All Sweetness & Light is the inspiration for my card today.

Tuesday Trigger photo
I picked out the colors on this beautiful picture and came up with this card:

Sorry about the poor inside photo ~ it's pouring outside, I will try to retake in the AM.

The cardstock is a salmon color and the glittery  chandeliers are peach, aqua blue, raspberry pink. the background paper is shimmery and the there an overlay sheet that I stamped the Miss You! sentiment on. The sofa is stamped onto white cardstock and fussy cut out to be popped up on this panel.
I realized there were no flowers or yellow (predominent color in the TT photo) except for my throw pillow on the sofa, so I added a sheet of yellow polka dot paper and a flower border punch on my inside paper to add a handwritten note  :)

Edited to add re-take of the photo outside this AM ~ still not capturing the softness of these colors in real life  :(

MIM #119

Make It Monday ~ Flagged Borders Challenge. See Dawn McVey's video HERE.
It's a great technique to help use up those scraps laying around on our craft desks ~~ or, am I the only one who's got 'em?

I stamped the "Patterned Bird" onto Kraft cardstock, then again on white card, fussy cut out the body and popped it onto the 'branch'.

MIM #119

Make It Monday Challenge this week is "Flagged Borders"!
Love playing along with these new-to-me-techniques.
You can join in too, check out Dawn's video HERE

I closely followed Dawn's design, I mean why mess with the "Master"  :)
Seriously, Dawn is so talented, I could only dream of having one ounce of her creative genius!

I mounted my 'flags' and onto Kraft cardstock and border punched a peach colored piece of paper over the tops and over that,  is a strip of  Fancy Pants Designs scalloped border sticker over that.
The "Like It" and  "Love It" flags are from Martha Stewart's Wedding Collection.  I hand cut flags out of PTI small paper scraps (Happy Spots and Tea Leaves) ... Thank goodness I never throw anything away :)

Here is a close up of my flags waving in the breeze.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

The bird was kinda lost in  the background so I propped him up with a piece of sponge...he really looks like he's in flight from somewhere to check out those flowers now  :o)
side view shows how far off the card this bird is flying

MIM - Photo Postcards

Make It Monday #118 - create a postcard out of your photos challenge is becoming an addiction (you all know what I'm talking about ;)
But, I am increasing my "supply o' cards" with this fast and easy technique, soooo ya gotta love that!   :)

Check out Ashley's video HERE

I used the wrong ink on this glossy paper, it's smudged a bit and it shows as a very light colored :(
I liked the tilted sentiment onto that beautiful peach rose petal, not sure how to correct this smudgy prob (?)
