SAF 2013 -The End

Stamp -a -faire 2013
THE END

Well I didn't think my craft room could get any messier than Saturday evening...but, I was wrong!
This is what it looked like at midnight Sunday :)

Important note:
I had the best time creating lots of cards that will be sent in the coming months.
Thank you, Nicole and Design Team ~ you all are such a creative force of inspiration!!

SAF 2013 - Custom Accents

Stamp-a-faire
Custom Accents From The Oven

This is my last and final post to Stamp-a-faire 2013
I posted to each of the challenges~Yay me! It was fun learning some new or seldom used techniques and I hope everyone had a good time yesterday and in some cases today,  if I'm not all alone out here ;-)

This challenge is  bringing polyshrink (or shrink plastic)back, having the option to shrink your favorite die-cut shape.  Well, I don't have any large (enough) dies, so my Custom Accents are teeny tiny shrunken butterflies which I managed to color with yellow ink and add some glitter to. I suppose they would have made cute earrings, if I remembered to punch a hole in them before baking ~ oh well.

SAF 2013 - Rolled Dough

Stamp-a-faire
Rolled Dough Designs Challenge

This is my attempt at designing  a card with Rolled Dough which is die cut into clouds.  I loved Heather's pretty card and how she mixed in glitter to the Paper clay, but my glitter is very chunky (ran out of the fine white stuff) and I ended up adding it after so it would really show up ~ love my glitter :)

SAF 2013 - Tea Staining

Stamp-a-faire
Tea Staining Technique

I used black Lipton tea bags and stained some cotton (muslin?) overnight.  It came out a pretty antique color. My flower is made from a strip of the dyed cloth and the button is covering all the fraying, which just adds to the 'old' look :)

SAF - Mixing Mists

Stamp-a-faire 2013
Mixing Mists to Match

This challenge is to make your own custom spray mist and then create a project using it.

I used drops of  'Pretty Pink' re-inker mixed with alcohol and created a pale dusty rose color to spray over my embossed flourishes.

Whipping Up Scent-sational Cards

I made my Scented Embossing powder with Pumpkin Pie Spice and Clear Embossing Powder. If you look closely at the pumpkin, you can see the spice is a little darker color ~ it really smells good too :-)

*I didn't use the pumpkins from this set, because I wanted a larger image as my focal point, but it was a wood block stamp and I over-stamped on the embossing technique part :(
And that's why I love my clear stamps!
