Well, here I am posting a card at the last minute of the MIM challenge.  This card was perceived (in my head) to be a "quick one"... but, as some of us know, those cards take the looooongest time to create :-(

I think it needs a little something else, which I will probably add before it goes in the mail tomorrow?
I die cut the Wonderful Words - hello four times from a Stamper's Select White cardstock panel as well as from three different colored papers...that was the quick part (sort of).  adding clear gel glue to the back of the colored pieces and placing them inside the cut out 'hellos' was a bit more time consuming.  The butterfly is a 3D sticker from 'Special Moments'

PTI-March Blog Hop

Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop
High Gloss Challenge

We are challenged to "Think Clear Heat Embossing,  Glossy Accents, layers of Clear Cardstock, die-cut vinyl, glossy paper, shiny embellishments, glossy spray paint or anything else you find in your stash!"

This card is sporting a 'shiny embellishment'.  I love these puffy owl stickers I found at Target (I think?).  The glittery deco tape adds a bit more shine.  The little label hanging by Baker's Twine from PTI's hello die is stamped with the word Friend (blocking out a repetitive hello)  from Embellishments Stamp Set also by PTI.  The Stamper's Select White card panel is embossed with Awesome Blossoms folder from Sizzix and the leafy branch the owl is sitting on is from Spellbinders Foliage Two die set.

Used heat embossed Clear Powder on the Rosie Posies for my "glossy Shine"

I did not put a sentiment on the front of this card because I am not sure who the recipient or what the occasion is yet.  I really like the way it turned out and will use this color combo again.

MIM~# 156

Make It Monday #156

One last card for this week's Challenge - 3D Stamp Paint Technique :-)

Well, it's dark outside and this "inside" photo does not do this card justice ...
I used the Numbers embossing folder with the same shimmery paint in Pearly Pink.
I have to admit that I was a little nervous about painting my embossing folders, but this paint washes right off~whew!
Now I just need to get into the habit of washing my stamps off as soon as I use them :-)

MIM #156

Make It Monday Challenge
3D Stamp Paint Technique

I made another card following along with this week's MIM 3D Stamp Paint Challenge.  You can check out Melissa's video for all the details.

I mentioned before that I have a friend in MA who is going through some heavy duty rounds of chemo.  I have been sending her "Thinking of You" notes in the mail every week, this one is headed North tomorrow.

I can always count on  the Make It Monday videos to help me keep my cards fresh and unique ~ I hope these small "hugs" are helping to cheer my friend up a bit.

I used some Peachy paint on the  Divine Swirl Embossing Folder by Cuttlebug to create my 3D Paint effect. PTI's  Stamper's Select White is my cardstock of choice for any kind of painting because it is so sturdy and holds up so well especially running it through machines.
I will have some time this evening to check out how some others have used this technique.
