MIM #114

Make It Monday #114 ~ Blown Ink Challenge

This week, Dawn McVey has a video how to showing us a new-to-me technique.  I've seen it before, but never tried it myself, so this challenge is the perfect opportunity, right?  I liked the way Dawn started all of the paint blowing from one side of the panel, then covered it up with layers and her sentiment, so I kinda copied her layout.

My Card ~
I used Glimmer Mist because I only have one re-inker and I thought this technique really lends itself to more than one color being blown around on the cardstock :)

Cardstock:  Card base and panel are Stamper's Select White by PTI; the Aqua, Green Apple and Teal are from Michael's

Tools/Dies:  Beautiful Butterflies from PTI; Scalloped and Smaller Circle punches from Marvy; Birds & Swirls embossing folder by Cuttlebug
Glimmer Inks:  Granite from Tattered Angels : Green and Teal from Ditto
Embellishments:  bling from Studio G; the flower is a 3-D sticker from Special Moments ~ can you see a sequin on the leaf?

  1. Helen, so pretty. This was a new technique for me too and so out of my style of card making.
