MFW - Tuesday Trigger

I wasn't too sure about these colors when I first saw the Moxie Fab World - Tuesday Trigger-Val de Victorian, but it was obvious to me I had to use one of my house and tree stamps :o)

This is actually the second card I made for this Val de Victorian challenge. No, it's not a second card that I entered, it is the second of the same card. WHAT?  Well, the other night I was 99% finished with this card and as I taped the back of the house which was fussy cut out after I colored, glittered, penned and chalked it, I got a phone call and put it down on my craft desk.  Yep, you know what happened, I came back to the desk, started playing around with something else and LOST the house.
Now I am sure it is stuck to the back of 'something' which I may or may not ever find because I confess to being an over-taper and this puppy also had some dimensional double sided tabs on the back of it along with all the other regular sticky stuff.  The worst part is, I can't remember exactly what the first one looked like. Oh well, back the proverbial square-one :(

This is the Tuesday Trigger at MFW

  2. I'm sorry, but I really did LOL at your lost house story - mostly because I have been there. Love the layers on your finished card - the leaf embossing is perfect with the bare trees & that house is perfect for the Trigger.

  4. A wonderful combination of textures and details--I can so relate to losing the original house, and it's always a great reminder to laugh at life when we can.

  6. Nightmare about the first card! One day you'll find that house in a very strange place and you'll get a good giggle from it. :)
As for this card I love how you coloured the house and the trees on the pumpkin cardstock are gorgeous!

  7. What a great take on the Trigger, Helen! LOVE that house! So glad you were able to have another go at it, and the silhouettes of the trees are on the perfect shade of orange to appear as though nightfall is just setting. Scrumptious!
