Inspiration photo where I picked up the colors and straight overlapping lines |
Now, I am not sure why I have such a tough time adding elements that have no connection with each other (like the cartoony star fish and the straight lines of not-even-sea-related patterned colors along with the Hello sentiment??) onto my cards, but...this one just seemed to happen. :-)
The "straight lines" of color and patterns are decorative and washi tapes: the hello stamp is from Hampton Arts; the starfish was a plastic pick that topped a cupcake (1 of 6 :) that I bought in the grocery store bakery last week, I added the googly eyes ~ be on the lookout for his sea-mates!

Have not decided which way I will finish the inside yet, any thoughts?
What a cute little starfish! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a colorful and fun card.
Beautiful Washi Tape card - I love your see-through star fish!
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun card ! I liked the design 1 personally..
ReplyDeleteI think you're nonrelated items melded like magic, Helen, and ended up being perfect fits for each other! I like the vertical top one with the hello on the side because the starfish is front and center, focus pocus, looking straight at the recipient!!
ReplyDeleteSimplicity at it's best! This card is fun! I like both ways. Is there a way to accommodate horiz/vertical sentiment on the inside? The whole thought fits the 'funess of the card!
ReplyDeleteThis is really cute... and original!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Helen and SOOOOO cute! Love this fun little card! I love that sweet star on top.. too darn cute!
ReplyDeleteOh this is just so adorable...awesome take on the trigger! Mahalo for stopping by my blog and leaving a sweet comment!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card! Great idea to use washi tape for this challenge!
