Creative With Stamps

Wow!   It's June 1st already!  We are approaching the middle of 2017 ~ is anyone else surprised at how fast time slips by?
Well, you know that one of the things that happens on the first of each month is there's a new challenge at Creative With Stamps so let's just focus on that happy thought 😉.

This month we are putting "fruit" in the spotlight.
Have some fun and join us by creating and posting your cards.  Head over to the Creative With Stamps Blog, HERE and check out what my fabulous Design Team members have created for inspiration, then add your entries for a chance to win some fun prizes from our awesome sponsors!

NOTE:  CWS Challenges do not have many "Guidelines", but please read and follow the few we do have to be eligible to win.

I made this card for a new neighbor who is moving into the house across the street from me this month.
The Pineapple is a symbol of  welcome that dates back to Colonial days.  It was a prominent decoration on many New England area homes where I grew up and spent most of my life.

My Card ~
On the background  of my watercolor paper, I added Tim Holtz Distress Stains in a brushstroke fashion.  Three pineapples were stamped on top in black ink.  I colored and Sparkled (Wink of Stella) two more pineapples then fussy cut them to be popped up on the face of my card.

PS:  I thought my card needed a little something more (because I can never leave it be!) so I went back with  a few sequins and that seemed to help ;-)
What do you think?

  7. What a great card this is Helen! I love the loose water colored background. Your neighbors will be so happy to have such a kind and thoughtful person living next door to them. Thanks for encouraging me to add another card to your linky party at CWS. I didn't know I could do more than one. Hope the rest of your week is fabulous!
